I’m an English literature undergrad, and I love reading. What I have to read for school isn’t always what I’d have chosen to read for myself, but writing about what I read has become almost second nature. That’s why I started (un)Conventional Bookviews on June 2nd 2012, as another way to share my love of books with other booklovers. I review based on the emotions a book brought me – this might seem a little strange, but to me it is logical.

All books I read make me have an emotional response, and they are part of how I review and rate a book. If I’m bored while reading, it doesn’t really bode well for the book in question. If I am happy or sad while reading, it is usually good. I am also quite picky with typos and grammatical errors, I want to read what is a finished book, and there shouldn’t bee typos or other errors on every single page. A book with a lot of errors takes my mind away from the story and it’s characters, and makes me want to keep a red pen in hand instead of being immersed in a different world.

*My reviews are personal reflections of what I read and take notes of. My reviews are in no way meant to dissuade a person from reading a book by authors who put a lot of work into their stories. I do not get paid for my reviews nor have I been asked to give my opinions concerning these books.*
