We are now back home in Geneva, and my allergies are acting up like crazy, which makes me really grumpy and tired! For the whole time I was in Spain, I was fine, and now, I’m sneezing hundreds of times every day 🙁 And while it’s nice to be home, I wouldn’t have minded staying another couple of weeks by the sea. Unfortunately, Mr. Lex had so much work to do, and I really didn’t want him to have to go home alone.

  1. Is book mail the best or what? Especially coming home to a bunch! I do want to read With Malice. Love that third pic of Freddy- one of my cats does that, gets all stretched out and comfortable.

Hope you have a nice week!

  2. Allergies are definitely a pain. Ugh. Never really had any myself, but I can sympathize for sure! Lol! And aww! Freddy is so cute!!

Nice new reads! Lots of new pretties and lots of new to me ones too! I hope you enjoy each and every one of them!

My STS post will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  3. I cannot wait to read Under Rose-Tainted Skies in November! I received a copy a few months ago and I love that cover! I hope you like Never Missing, Never Found since it’s a great book. Tonya sent me her copy of With Malice which I’ll receive soon and I can’t wait to read it. I want to get The Choices We Make!
Allergies suck so much!! I hope you feel better!

  4. Yuck on the allergies! I am the same. When I go to the Western US to visit family, I’m fine, but when I come home, its back to the sinus issues. 🙂
Oh neat! Love to see the huge stack of book mail. So much better than bills. Haha!

    Cute Freddy pics!

  5. Oh, my allergies are back in full force, too, having returned to my Central Valley home after a blissful time near the beach.

Enjoy that fabulous book haul…and I love Freddy’s pink and purple leash.

I have Mystic Summer….and I’m eyeing With Malice. Enjoy!

  6. OMG that is one heck of a great haul! Have fun with them and thanks for sharing those lovely Freddy pics – always a pleasure looking at them.
Have a great weekend & Happy reading
    best wishes

    • Book mail is the very best, I agree, Laura 🙂
I can’t believe how much Freddy has grown since he arrived in March… I’m very happy he’s house broken now, though – it’s very nice to not find any surprises when I get up in the morning 😉

    • Thanks, Lauren 🙂 It’s nice to be home, even if I’d not been averse to staying another week in Spain 😀 I’m sure Freddy would appreciate the hugs, too 🙂 Book mail did make it worth coming home earlier than planned. I can’t wait to start reading all these goodies.

  7. Her Every Fear caught my eye right away! I hope you enjou all your new books! Coming home to books in the mail is always a wonderful treat!

I am sorry to hear your allergies are giving you a hard time. It sounds like you had a nice time in Spain though. Freddy is adorable as usual. 🙂

    Have a great week!

  8. Freddy is SO adorable!! I love him! Also, sorry about your allergies. Mine are quite awful lately too, so I feel your pain. Spain sounds so amazing. I was only there once (Barcelona) for a very short period of time, and I would LOVE to go back and actually spend some time there! Quite an amazing book haul you came home to, also! I am so excited to read Under Rose Tainted Skies, and With Malice looks really good too! Hope you have a great week, and that your allergies calm the heck down too!

  9. Yay for awesome book mail!! Freddy trying to get into your oldest’s room is too cute. My dogs do that when I shut the door to the bathroom. They don’t seem to understand that going to the bathroom doesn’t require an audience!
So sorry about your allergies! I know how miserable that can be. Hopefully you adjust quickly!
    Enjoy your awesome new books!

  10. It’s always lovely to come home to a library of new books, unpacking them and sniffing at that new-paper smell, which I adore… Lovely pics of Freddie. So sorry about your allergies – I’m guessing severe hay fever – if it’s any consolation I suffered dreadfully all through my teens, twenties and early thirties – and from then on it steadily abated. Now in my late middle years – I get a slight eye irritation when it’s really bad – and when I was younger, it was bleeding fingers where my skin cracked, temperatures, nose bleeds, swollen eyes, sore throat and earache. I’ve met a number of other folks who have said the same, so hopefully you’ll find the same thing… Have a great week getting stuck into all those lovely new books!

  11. Holy book haul, Batman!! What a nice surprise to come home to. Better than the allergies, for sure 🙁 I’m so sorry. I understand your frustration, totally!!

Scarlett Cole, huh? Have you read anything by her before? This book has been taunting me on NG for weeks now but I haven’t let myself read the synopsis. I’m trying so hard to be GOOD 🙂 Should I be bad?? 😉

Freddy needs his own Tumblr page!!! That boy is adorable. You could just put a Freddy pic of the day up on there. Kind of like the hedgehog page on there. I’m just sayin’….. 😀

Have a great week! Take your Zyrtec (or whatever BETTER stuff you have over there)!!!

    • I know, right? So many great-looking books *sighs*

Yes! Scarlett Cole is awesome, this Second Circle Tattoo series is really good – The Darkest Link is the 4th book, though, and I’ve read the first three. I think it could work as a stand-alone, however, there seems to be some connections in TDL with the prior books. Of course, I’ll always encourage you to be bad, Kristin; that’s what I do <3
LOL Tumblr or IG? I guess I should really think about it. And we have Zyrtec too - but it makes me fall asleep, so I have to wait until the evening. *hugs*

  12. What a great way to come home! BOOKMAIL!!! 🙂 I know how you feel when I got home yesterday I was exhausted and my nose is running again. My daughter seems like she got a vacation cold because the poor little girl sounds awful. I am not looking forward to my allergies starting up which usually starts at the end of August. I have two season allergies, one in spring and one in fall. In Florida, I felt fantastic, the weather is just nicer down there, would love to pack everyone up and move but I think I would miss the cold/snow. I think 🙂

Miss visiting you on sundays, so glad to be back and I still miss your face! Give Freddy a big hug for me, he is getting so big!

Have a great week, Lexxie! Happy Reading! oxoxoxoxoxox

  13. Nice haul! I am curious about Under Rose Tinted Skies, might have to see if it’s still on Edelweiss. I know how much you always enjoy Huss her books, so I hope this is another good one! And yay for bookmail!

I am sorry to hear your allergies are bothering you here while you were fine at Spain.

Love all the freddy pictures as always! especially the one were he is taking a nap. I am always amazed how animals can sleep in the weirdest positions. I hope you’ll have a great week!

  14. Sorry about the allergies. That’s the worst! Not the best homecoming gift to receive. I can’t believe how much Freddy has grown. He’s such a big boy now! While missing Spain must be getting you down, at least you’re back home with Mr. Lex. I’m sure you’ll fall back into your groove soon.

  15. Welcome home!!!! It must be nice to be home again. Freddy is growing up so quickly, and he’s just so beautiful. I love coming home to bookmail it’s the best with so many lovely new books. I hope you have a great week Lexxi settling in from your vacation.

  16. Welcome home! Book packages are nice to come home to. I would love to subscribe to these but I have no room for physical books. The books I have now are in plastic bins, so at least I can see the titles if I need them lol. Allergies are horrible and I hope you feel better. Have a great week!

  17. Getting books in the mail is the greatest. Wish I could take a nap like Freddy! Sorry about the allergies. Feel better.

  18. My dog (like Freddy) wished that he were taller and had opposable thumbs so that he could go anywhere he wanted (especially the rooms with the big beds). I’ve never actually opened or received a bookish box before, but they always look awesome. Enjoy all of your bookish goodies! 🙂

  19. Wow! Nice haul, seriously! I want Strange Magic and With Malice. They both look really good. I hope you enjoy the all. Sorry to hear about your allergies, allergies suck. I usually have a terrible time with them but this year has not been so bad. I hope you feel better soon.
    Awwe Freddy is so cute!!
    Have a great week!

  20. Welcome home! Sorry about your allergies though. It’s incredibly bad this year for me, normally I might sneeze like once a month…now if I miss an allergy pill I’ll be utterly miserable.
    Freddy is super cute!

  21. I hope your allergies get straightened back out! I know I’m sneezing a ton right now from high pollen counts. I bet the trip was amazing!! Thanks so much for sharing the Freddy pics too. I really enjoy seeing them. Have a great week 😀
