Bought, Bagged and Wrapping it Up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews, Talk Supe and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS #153 – Bought Borrowed & Bagged #103

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about the latest additions to your library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  you will be reading soon. Bought Borrowed and Bagged is a homage to to Barron’s Books and Baubles from KMM’ Fever series, and is hosted by Braine over at Talk Supe. Without further ado, here’s what I bought, borrowed or bagged this past week:

The Sunday Post #103 – Wrapping it Up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

I didn’t teach any this week, but I have some bours lined up for next week, plus, I have a gig for the whole rest of the school year. Now, don’t get too excited, it’s to be the adult in the classroom for those in detention. Every Wednesday afternoon at a high school. I just hope that they will also think of me when they need someone to teach English over there…

Right now, I’m in Bandol in the south of France with my oldest daughter for a festival. KA Tucker and Colleen Hoover are among the authors there. And it’s so nice to have a weekend getaway with my daughters, and we also get to share our love for reading. Win-win situation. Plus the south of France, am I right? For pics, you should follow my Instagram account, as that’s where I’ll be sharing stuff this weekend.

Oh, and one of my orders from Society6 arrived, it’s my daughter’s art, and you should check out her page over there;) Just click on the picture and it’ll take you to her shop. I think there’s still 10% off and free shipping everywhere this weekend.

As you can see, he’s doing great! Between taking naps and running around, he found the time to pose for my pictures 🙂

  1. I guess at least it’s a steady job if not quite what you wanted. I’ll hope for that English job to open up.

Oh yay! Enjoy your time with your girls and at the book con. I love KA Tucker’s books, but I still need to try CoHo’s. Neat that your daughter has a design shop and that your order came in. I saw the pictures and it’s cute stuff.

    • Yes, that’s exactly it. I don’t think supervising detention is going to be all that fun, but it’s a foot in the door, you know?
KA was SO nice, and I love her books, too. CoHo is one of my favorite authors. You really should try one of her books, Sophia 🙂

  2. Awww Freddy is too cute!! Have fun in France! That sounds wonderful! Good luck with the job-that sounds like a tough job but if it goes well, I am sure they will keep you in mind for future positions!

  3. I really can’t wait to read the new Jill Shalvis. She’s doing such a lovely job with this series. The festival sounds like it’s a blast. And that’s great you’re experiencing it with your daughter. I hope you have a lovely week ahead, Lexxie! 🙂

  4. Your daughter’s art is phenomenal! And authors actually got on a plane and went to Europe! That is so great b/c usually they have to pay for that themselves!!! I’m running over to instagram (and Society6) right now!!! Have fun! 🙂

  5. The south of France? Ooh La La! I hope you have a wonderful time with your daughter there. I think you are smart to take the detention job. Schools really do like to try teachers out, first, before hiring them full-time. Best wishes for a wonderful week.

  6. Ha Freddie always seems to find ways to be comfortable. 🙂 And he hams it up for the camera pretty good! Hope you have a wonderful time at the festival- and south France! Not bad… congrats too on the detention thing, hopefully that will lead to something more what you’re looking for.

  7. I’ve been enjoying your pics from the festival. And was excited to see the one with CoHo!

I was trying to work out if you sounded happy about the work you have for the rest of the year. I hope you are and that it’s a good fit or match.

  8. Congrats on your position, Lexxie! I hope the timing of it allows you to do some teaching? And I hope the kids you’ll have in detention won’t be too difficult. :/ I can’t wait to hear all about your trip!! Did KA remember me mentioning you?? And how was CoHo? Who else did you and #1 fangirl over?? I bet it was a blast! Those pics of Freddy are adorable. He’s such a cutie! And I somehow missed that the pillow in the picture of PD James’ book was from #1. I’m off to check out her Society 6 page! 😉
I hope you had a lovely weekend – although I *know* you did!! <3 *BIG HUGS* <3

Oh man, detention! That does not sound fun at all 🙁 but on the bonus I think that will definitely make you the first person they call when they need English – 1, you’re already going to be there later and 2, they will see you regularly and you’ll just be on their mind! Fingers crossed!

I saw the pictures of you and your daughters – how fun! Slightly jealous 🙂

Is that pillow your daughter’s artwork then? Wow, I love it!

Have a great week! Miss you…*hugs*

  10. I think Edelweiss doesn’t like me, I requested those Jill Shalvis books, but they only approved me for book 1. It does sound like a fun series, I hope to start it soon.
Sounds like you’re having fun at the festival! And at least it’s a good thing you got a job at that school and maybe once they need a new teacher for english they will ask you as well. Glad to see Freddy had time to pose for pictures, I always like seeing them :). I hope you’re having a good week!

  11. The south of France for a YA festival. BLISS. Sounds like you’re having a blast and I don’t blame you one bit! Freddy looks adorable as always my friend, I love seeing pictures of him doing his thing 😀 Oh and your haul reminded me that I want to read some Christmas themed books this year! Happy reading Lexxie^^ ♥
