COYER Scavenger Hunt - (un)Conventional Bookviews

COYER Scavenger Hunt Wrap-up

I remember how excited I was about the summer COYER challenge also being a scavenger hunt when our lovely hosts Berls @ Fantasy Is More Fun, Michelle @ Because Reading and Stormi @ Books, Movies, Reviews! Oh My! revealed what they had imagined for all of us participants. And now, it’s over – it feels like summer just passed in a blink this year. Because the challenge was going to last 77 days, I made myself the goal of reading 50 books, and I wanted to try to have 20 of those also count towards the scavenger hunt. So, do you think I made it?

*Drumroll* I did manage to complete my goal, and I’m so happy about that! I read 53 books for COYER, and 23 of those books counted towards the scavenger hunt as well. Apart from reading lots of books and linking them up (grand total of all participants is 884 reviews linked to, and that is something that really amazes me! Sadly, I haven’t had time to read all of the reviews, but the link will still be there for me to check up on in the near future. Now, I haven’t been able to write full reviews for all of my COYER reads just yet, especially because some of the books I read were ARCs for stories that won’t be released until late October, and I wasn’t allowed to post my full review yet.

Here is a list of all the books I have reviewed here on my blog towards the COYER challenge, and those that count towards the scavenger hunt have a little note beneath the review:

If you rather feel like just seeing the list of the books I read, you can do so on my COYER Summer 2015 Read shelf on Goodreads, and I also have a COYER Summer 15 Scavenge shelf that lists the books I read for that part of the challenge.

I want to say a big, huge thank you to our hosts! They are truly amazing, they have so many great ideas, so not only have we used the COYER Facebook group to keep in touch with each other, there has been read-a-thons, Twitter parties, social media prizes, and fun all around. The time they spent first to plan this summer-long event for us, and then to keep up with everything for 11 weeks is tremendous, and they have kept up with participants on blogs, on Twitter and on Facebook throughout the challenge. There was even a COYER instagram challenge for the month of August, and everything has been a lot of fun. *APPLAUDS*

The next COYER challenge will take place in December, it will be a shorter event, but I’m sure it will be just as fun, so mark your calendars and prepare yourself.

  1. Wow impressive Lexxie how many books you’ve read. And yay for reaching your goals. I always have so much fun participating in Coyer and am always sad when it’s over, although luckily we don’t have to wait too long for the next coyer.

    • I always have fun with COYER as well, Lola, the sense of community is just amazing, and I have found many new blogger-friends thanks to this challenge.
Because I’m a fast reader, and also because I had the summer off, I managed to read a lot of books this time around 🙂
      Thanks for stopping by!

    • Oh yes, Heather, you should participate! We always have so much fun. Most of the time, we can only read e-books that costs $1.99 or less, including ARCs that are digital. And it’s a good way to clean out those e-readers at least a little bit:)

  2. Excellent job, Lexxie!! You really knocked it out of the park this COYER. (baseball reference 😉 ) It was so much fun and Berls, Michelle, and Stormi did a fantastic job of planning and executing it all. I don’t think I could do it. But I sure do enjoy participating! 😀 **BIG HUGS**
