Feature and Follow #25

Feature and FollowYAY it’s Friday!

Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to meet more new bloggers!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is that our hosts feature two blogs. Every week they will each showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow both their featured as well as our lovely hosts as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. I prefer being followed via Linky, Google+ or if you’d like my facebook page. If you prefer e-mail or RSS, that’s good as well 🙂

As you can imagine, this is a great way to get to know your fellow bloggers better, as well as a way to find new blogs, and be seen by more people yourself.

Now on to this week’s question:

What have you learned from book blogging that you didn’t know before about the publishing industry…

Some things I learned about before I started blogging myself, like the fact that some bloggers got the mythical ARC’s of books – before a book was actually published. The publishing industry is still quite mysterious to me, I love that I am now sometimes receiving ARCs, it feels like I’m in on a secret when I can read a book before it’s in any of the book stores 🙂

What about you? Have you learned something you want to share with us other bloggers?

Thanks for stopping by this week – even if my blog has been very quiet. Have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend.

    • I agree! Netgalley is awesome! As is Edelweiss 🙂 I am so happy each time I get to read a book by one of my favorite authors before their book is released!

I learned most of what I know by publishing myself, but it was a steep learning curve, that’s for sure. I’m still baffled by a lot of it to be honest, but getting out there and doing it yourself is one way to learn things in a hurry.

Old Follow via every way possible I think ! 🙂

    • I agree with you, the role of social media and blogs as well is quite amazing. I really feel like a very small fish in the sea, though 🙂

  3. ARC’s are a lovely bonus, but I know that I put a lot of hours into reading, reviewing and promoting, so it is a nice exchange. There is so much to learn!
Old follower, hopping through. I hope that all is going well with the revisions that you are working on.

    • Oh I agree, I think most bloggers spend a lot of time both reading and reviewing, so it is an added bonus to sometimes get ARCs.

Thanks for stopping by 🙂 My exams are over now, but I’ll have more at the end of January…

    • Yes! I feel so good when I get accepted for an ARC – and I’ve been so lucky getting them for authors / books / series I love 🙂
