Feature and Follow #29 – late night reading

Posted 25 January, 2013 by Linda @ (un)Conventional Bookworms in Feature and Follow / 0 Comments

Feature and FollowYAY it’s Friday!

Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature and Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

The Feature and Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Rachel of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to meet more new bloggers!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is that our hosts feature two blogs. Every week they will each showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow both their featured as well as our lovely hosts as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. I prefer being followed via Linky or Google+;  or you can like my facebook page. If you prefer e-mail or RSS, that’s good as well

As you can imagine, this is a great way to get to know your fellow bloggers better, as well as a way to find new blogs, and be seen by more people yourself.

Now on to this week’s question:

What is the last book that kept you up late into the night just to finish it?

It was definitely Hopeless by Colleen Hoover. This book touched me in so many ways, it was both sad and happy, hopeless and hopeful and at the same time it showed so much character growth. Also, in my opinion, Colleen Hoover writes such beautiful prose that even really difficult subjects are bearable to read when it’s written by her.

Thanks for stopping by today, have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend!

    • If you ever decide you want to try a contemporary book, you really should try one by Colleen Hoover – the writing is so beautiful!

    • I think I read almost too many UF and PNR books last year, so contemporary is great right now. Of course, I still read other genres as well 🙂 And Colleen Hover writes more ‘New Adult’ than YA, as her characters are often a little bit older, and they deal with a lot more than the characters in YA have to deal with.

Thanks for stopping by Shelley 🙂 Have a wonderful weekend.

  1. I haven’t read Hopeless yet (although it’s waiting for me on my noon) but I have read Slammed and Point of Retreat and I couldn’t agree more about Colleen Hoover’s writing! She definitely has a way with words – and I love it! Have a fab Friday and a great weekend, Lexxie! 🙂

    • She is amazing with words! I don’t know how she does it, but she always touches me deeply when I read one of her books. I look forward to seeing what you think about it when you get to it!
Thanks a lot for stopping by, have a wonderful weekend as well 🙂

  2. Luckily I bought Hopeless on a day I was off and spent all afternoon reading it.. I would’ve been in the same boat as you! lol

    • Hi Tamara, thanks for stopping by. This book is both really sad, and really full of hope – and extremely well written. I’m gonna stalk your shelves to see what you think about it if you decide to read it as well.
      Have a wonderful weekend.

    • Hi Natacha, thanks for stopping by. As I’m on wordpress, I don’t have GFC, but I think since I’m on google+ I can follow you via GFC anyway, I’ll try it anyway 🙂

  3. I haven’t read this book, but the way you write about it makes me want to read it. Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by my blog.
