It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

Welcome to It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? This is a meme hosted by Sheila @ Book Journey; and I think it is great to start the week with what I’m reading right this minute, and what I’ll be reading (or planning on reading, anyway) for the rest of the week.

Please visit Sheila’s blog to sign up on her linky, that way you will have other Monday bloggers coming to visit you as well.

Last week, I read the following books:

Undercover Lover - (un)Conventional BookviewsUndercover Lover by Jamie K. Schmidt is a fun thriller, including the mob, a reiki practitioner and an undercover lover. 3 stars – my review will be posted tomorrow as part of a blogtour and a giveaway, so be sure to stop by again then.

With All my Soul - (un)Conventional BookviewsI finally sat down and read With All My Soul (Soulscreamers #7) by Rachel Vincent, and really enjoyed it. The ending of a series a love is always bittersweet. 4 stars

Oath Bound - (un)Conventional BookviewsOath Bound (Unbound #3) by Rachel Vincent is another series ending, and it was really well done! 5 stars

Seven Years - (un)Conventional BookviewsSeven Years (Seven #1) by Dannika Dark. My stop for this blogtour isn’t until November, but I couldn’t help myself, I really wanted to read Ms. Dark’s new series, and I thought it was really, really good! 4 stars

Into the Woods - (un)Conventional BookviewsInto the Woods is a selection of short stories set in The Hollows universe, and I loved seeing some of the side-characters in the driver’s seat! 5 stars

Right now, I’m reading

The Iron Traitor - (un)Conventional BookviewsThe Iron Traitor (The Iron Fey, Call of the Forgotten #2) by Julie Kagawa. I am a huge fan of every single book Ms. Kagawa has written so far, and I truly was jumping up and down when I got an e-mail form Netgalley to let me know I had been accepted for this one!

Next I am planning on reading:

Styxx - (un)Conventional BookviewsStyxx (Darkhunter #23) by Sherrilyn Kenyon – this is one of my favorite PNR series, and even after over twenty books in the series, most of them are four stars for me. I look forward to delving into this univers again.

The Cutting Room Floor - (un)Conventional BookviewsThe Cutting Room Floor by Dawn Klehr is a young adult mystery/thriller and romance, with a boy who will do anything to make a girl love him.

Here’s what happened on (un)Conventional Bookviews last week:

Review: Found (Penny Black #1)

Review: Lord Rakehell’s Love (The Curse of True Love #1)

Teaser Tuesday #5 – With All My Soul

Review: A Perfect Blood (The Hollows #10)

Cover Reveal: The Holdout

Sidekick Showcase #19 – Showcase of Choice

Let’s Discuss: Couples that Last

    • Both were really good, Brandee 🙂 And it was a long time going… as I had been waiting so the series wouldn’t be all over for me 🙂

I’ll let you know about The Cutting Room Floor!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great week and Happy Monday to you, too. *hugs*

  1. Kathy Martin

You had a great reading week. I still haven’t finished Soul Screamers or started the other Vincent series yet. I have the books on my TBR mountain but have too many review books keeping me from reading my own books. Come see my Monday Report. Happy reading!

    • I did have a great week, Kathy, and I hope I can keep it up now that classes have started again.

The Vincent series are all great IMO.

      Thanks for stopping by.

    • The Cutting Room Floor certainly caught my interest – I’ll let you know what I think of it, Laurel-Rain 🙂

      Thanks for sotpping by.

    • I have actually enjoyed all of Rachel Vinenct’s series, and Unbound is pretty dark, and more adult – so you should definitely check it out!

Have a wonderful week yourself, thanks for stopping by.

  2. I was a big fan of the Soul Screamers series until Nash became a jerk. I heard that the remaining books were good so maybe I will finish the series someday. I should try some of the author’s books for adults too.

I liked the Iron King series but haven’t picked up the books about Ethan yet. I hope you enjoy it!

    • The Nash thing made me sad as well, but it really resolved itself quite nicels – and her adult books are really good.

If you enjoyed the Iron King series, I think you’ll enjoy the stories about Ethan as well… They are very nicely done.

      Thanks for stopping by Christina!

  3. Is the Iron Fey series good, Lexxie? I’ve been seeing a lot of Iron Traitor in STS posts and you know, it’s really piquing my curiosity. If you like it, I might also buy the series and see for myself what’s the rave all about.

Good luck to all your reading endeavors! 😀

    • Charlotte, asking me if the Iron Fey series is good is only going to get one answer from me – it’s AWESOME! But I have to admit I have a total book-crush on Julie Kagawa, I have never read anythng by her and not completely loved it!

Thanks for stopping by – have a great week.

  4. I have no idea what I’m reading this week. I just finished Manic by J.A. Huss. I have so many books staring at me and I’m not even sure what genre I’m in the mood for. Did I miss your review of Frost Burned? At least you can’t fatten my TBR list with that one. hehe

    • I know the feeling, Robyn. Sometimes, the choice is too big, and I feel like reading something but I don’t want something specific. Maybe try a short-story or a novella?

My review for Frost Burned won’t be up until next week… I had a lot of posts already scheduled.

      Have a great week!

    • Yeah, that was such a different universe. I have read several series that had the last book released this year… I need some new ones now 🙂

Thanks for stopping by Shelleyrae 🙂 Happy reading.

  5. Howliday Inn by James Howe.
Found this at the library. It’s Bunnicula #2. If you’re not familiar with Bunnicula…he’s a vampire bunny who sucks the juice from unsuspecting vegetables. Now that is a vegetarian vamp. 😉

    Xyra recently posted: Homework!
    • LOL Bunnicula? A vampire bunny? LOL I hope Myrnin didn’t get a hold of him to use for his slippers!!

Hope you’re doing well, Xyra 🙂 *hugs*

      • Oh, that’s too funny! Myrnin would love Bunnicula. I hope he wouldn’t turn him into slippers, but if there is a large population of vampire bunnies, perhaps… 😉

Well, but busy, thank you. *hugs* I will appreciate the quiet time when it arrives.

        • Yeah, I’m starting to get busy again, too. Classes started this week, and then all of the kids’ teachers have decided that this is the week for meeting the parents. Oh well.
