It’s Monday! What are you Reading?

Welcome to It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? This is a meme hosted by Sheila @ Book Journey and I  think it is great to start the week with what I’m reading right this minute, and what I’ll be reading (or planning on reading, anyway) for the rest of the week.

Please visit Sheila’s blog to sign up on her linky, and just know that every week, a lucky winner is drawn from the bloggers or posters (no need to even have a blog) who comment on at least ten posts in the It’s Monday meme. The winner gets a $5 Amazon gift card. How awesome is that?

one night with a cowboyLast week, I read and reviewed One Night with a Cowboy by Cat Johnson – and I really enjoyed it. It’s a story of a hunky cowboy and an English literature teacher. Definitely worth it! It was hot, funny and romantic.

The Demon Lover (un)Conventional BookviewsI also read and reviewed The Demon Lover by Rhiannon Paille. This is a book about an English literature teacher as well, but there are demons, succubi, vampires and fairies in this one as well 🙂

Legacy cover (un)Conventional BookviewsRight now, I’m reading Legacy by Thomas A. Knight. This is the second book in the Time Weaver Chronicles, and I really enjoyed the first book – The Time Weaver. So far, I love Legacy, there is a lot of back story, and the way it’s being covered is really well done. The world this story happens in (at least so far) is very different from ours, there is a lot of use of magic, and it’s very hard to know which character to trust, and which to be wary of. I love a good mystery, as well as the good use of the story from the first book.

gameboard of the gods (un)Conventional BookviewsNext book I want to read is Gameboard of the Gods by Richelle Mead. I was lucky enough to get an ARC via Edelweiss, and I can’t wait to read this. I love all of Richelle Mead’s books – both the YA and the adult ones, and this seems to be full of mythology as well as some mystery and paranormal things. I have already seen some good star ratings, even if no bloggers are allowed to post a review yet I know that several really enjoyed it.

Clockwork Princess (un)Conventional BookviewsClockwork Princess is another book I’m really looking forward to, as I love the whole world of the Shadowhunters, and this spinoff series that is set in the past is really well done. The steam-punk and paranormal things that are a big part of this story really appeal to me, and I have to admit that even if the characters are very young, I have a little crush on one of them 😀

What about you? What are you reading this week? Did you enjoy the last week’s reads? Thanks for stopping by – have a fantastic week!

    • I actually love different 🙂 I’m pretty hyped up about it – I hope I’m not expecting too much!

Thanks for stopping by Jessica 🙂

  1. I still haven’t read any of the Cassandra Clare books, but they do look awesome. You have a great list for reading…enjoy.

And thanks for visiting my blog!

    • Thanks for stopping by Ashley. I hope I’ll be more impressed by GotG than you seem to be!

      Have a wonderful week!

  2. Sounds like some great reading. I am reading The Goddess Inheritance by Aimee Carter. This is one series that I have actually kept up with ..lol. I normally forget about them and there is like two or three books out before I remember I read the first one…lol. Like I have read Clockwork Angel but not Clockwork Prince and Now Princess is out!!! I am so behind.

I finished Treacherous Temptations by Victoria Vane a few days ago, but not one of my favorites. 🙁

    Happy Reading!

    • Oh, I really want to read the Goddess series as well – I need to check out your reviews. LOL about forgetting about series – I’m the opposite, I have pre-orders for things as soon as it’s possible, and I wait impatiently for them to be published!

Thanks for stopping by Stormi:) I hope you’ll have a wonderful week!

  3. Hi there Lexxie, these are pretty interesting titles – and the book covers look luscious! I haven’t read any Richelle Mead novel yet so I am definitely intrigued. I’ve heard a lot about the Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare but I haven’t gotten around to reading them yet. Enjoy your reads this week!

    • Thanks Myra, if you like Paranormal reads, you should definitely try a Richelle Mead book – especially since she writes both YA and adult books, and she’s good at both IMO.

Have a wonderful week, thanks for stopping by 🙂
