Memes I participate in

I participate different fun memes, but I don’t have time to do so every single week. Most often, I take part in the Feautre and Follow meme hosted by Parajunkee’s View and Alison Can Read. This meme is fun, and a great way to get to know new bloggers, follow them, and have more people find and follow my blog as well. Every week, there are two featured bloggers, and we all answer a question about books. Most of the time, I end up adding more and more books to my never-ending ‘To Read’ pile while I visit other blogs during the Feature and Follow Friday, there are so many I still need to discover.

I have also found the Top Ten Tuesday meme which is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. As the name of this meme says, it happens every Tuesday, and we get to name our top ten of something that has to do with books. It can be anticipated new releases, debut authors, favorite series and much more. I participate less frequently in this meme, but I like it a lot – it just takes a lot more time to think of ten things than just one as there is in the Feature and Follow one.

Another meme I love is Sidekick Saturday that is hosted by JC’s Book Haven. In this meme, we chat about a secondary character and what makes them aweseome. Each Saturday also has it’s own theme, I have written about ‘All American’ sidekick, ‘Comedic Relief’ sidekick and many others.

Every now and then, I also participate in the It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? meme hosted by Sheily at Bookjourney. This is one where we discuss the books we read last week, what we’re reading right now, and what we plan to read in the following week.

These  memes are excellent tools both for networking and for finding new blogs that like the same kinds of books I do. At the same time, I happen to find new friends almost every week, and that’s a huge added bonus. Of course, it is also a great source to keep me adding more and more book to my huge TBR pile 🙂
