Raina Easton never expected to be training a cheerleading squad for a baseball team. But the owner of the building where her burlesque club is housed is threatening to sell, and she needs to get a deposit together.

Malachi Coulter can't believe that Alex Winters wants cheerleaders for their team. When he meets Raina, he can't deny his attraction… He's just not sure that Raina's wild ways are what he's looking for. Raina isn't thrilled about finding herself attracted to a guy like Mal, ex-army, motorcycle, security, tough guy.

When a crazed fan starts causing trouble, Mal is pulled in two directions. He wants to shut the squad down but Raina wants the money. Can a former bad boy and a former bad girl team up to win the day or are they just destined to strike out?

Lawless in Leather is my favorite New York Saints story! Mal and Raina were both awesome, flawed but willing to walk the walk to make a relationship possible!

My Lawless in Leather review:

I was impatient about Mal and Raina’s story! Especially Mal, because he has been quite mysterious and withdrawn in both The Devil in Denim and Angel in Armani. Getting to know the security chief better in Lawless in Leather, and see how little he enjoyed the fact that Alex wanted cheerleaders for the baseball team was really great!

Raina was an excellent character strong-minded, independent, and proud of her burlesque club. Mal didn’t want to like her at all, but he couldn’t help himself once he saw her on stage. And when he realized that someone was giving her and her club a hard time, he decided his skills when it came to security should be offered as well. Lawless in Leather was a quick read, intrigue, romance and mystery made it feel even quicker.

As Raina trained the cheerleaders and Mal did his best to make sure the stadium was secure before the new season started. Little things were off, and especially when it came to the cheerleaders he needed to be on the alert, because danger was looming nearby. The banter between the characters and the way the story has progressed since the very first in the series made me feel accomplished and happy with where they all are right now.

Written in third person point of view, past tense, I got to know both Mal’s and Raina’s inner thoughts and fears, and I was very happy to see what made Mal tick. The pace is quite fast, and now that I have gotten to know the characters surrounding the team, I can only hope there will be more books in this series – there are several of the players I wouldn’t mind seeing more of…

Some of my favorite Lawless in Leather quotes:

Which left her, as far as she could figure it, maybe six hours a day fro sleeping, eating and basic hygiene. She was going to need a lot of caffeine. And possibly a clone army.

So no. No more wild girls. No one who made his skin itch. The next woman in his life had to be calm and easy and looking for a good solid life.

“I’m not sure that anyone has ever accused me of always dong the smart thing,” he admitted. And if they had, right now he was proving them very wrong. The smart thing would be to run far, far away from Raina of the sleek curves and the plump lips and the goddamned endless legs.
