Review: Devil’s Punch – Ann Aguirre

Devil’s Punch was filled with so much action, I hardly knew how to continue! Corine went through so many things that made my heart not only break, but completely shatter for her. My Devil’s Punch review: Devil’s Punch showed just how much Corine has changed and matured since the beginning of the series, both when it comes to her magic, and when it comes to her relationship with Chance. The beginning was quite slow-paced, set in Mexico  where Corine was trying to get her life back to what counted as normal for her. Her forget-me spell on Shannon and Jesse had ended up being much stronger than Corine had anticipated, and so she was starting over without her best friend. […]

Review: The Shape of My Heart – Ann Aguirre

Review: The Shape of My Heart – Ann Aguirre

The Shape of My Heart is raw, real, sweet, sad, hard, tough, romantic, very sexy and beautiful! My The Shape of My Heart review: Beautifully written, with amazing characters, The Shape of My Heart sure tugged at my heart-strings, and I felt like my heart was expanding when things were good for Max and Courtney. Likewise, when things were difficult, my heart was a shriveled, dry thing in my chest that weighed a ton and a half at least! The way their relationship started was the best, because Max and Courtney were friends first, then Courtney first realized she wouldn’t mind to have more with Max, but at the same time she didn’t want to do anything that could possibly […]

Review: As Long as You Love Me – Ann Aguirre

Review: As Long as You Love Me – Ann Aguirre

Beautiful slow-moving romance, so enticing I was aching while reading about Rob and Lauren. My As Long as You Love Me review: As Long as You Love Me managed to snag my heartstring even quicker than I Want it That Way did. Maybe because I had already met Rob and Lauren, or maybe because their interactions were so achingly sweet and tender. The story also includes another trope I absolutely adore, and that is the friends-to-lovers trope. Rob had always seen Lauren as his little sister Nadia’s best friend, and Lauren had been in love with him since she was thirteen. Now that Lauren was finally back home in Sharon, Rob was dating another girl, and there was no […]

Review: I Want it That Way – Ann Aguirre

*I received a free ARC of I Want It That Way from Harlequin via Netgalley in exchange of an honest review* I Want It That Way is the most beautifully heartbreaking story I have read so far in 2014. I laughed, cried big, fat tears, cheered, and rooted for Nadia, all the way! My I Want it That Way review: I Want it That Way is so different from all the other New Adult stories I have read lately! Yes, both Nadia and Ty struggled with their lives, doubts and how to deal with the real stuff. However, at the same time, they both came from loving families, where their parents were still married and supported them emotionally and  financially […]
