★★★★★ Review: Fighting the Pull – Kristen Ashley

You know that comfort you feel when you hang out with good friends? People who fully understand you, and always have your back? That’s how I usually feel when I read a Kristen Ashley novel. And that’s how I felt while reading Fighting the Pull. I have been waiting for Hale’s book for a while (and now, I’m totally waiting for Sasha’s book!), and it was definitely worth the wait (pun intended!). Fighting the Pull was definitely what I wanted for Hale’s story, and that’s also because Elsa is a fantastic character. And of course, all the characters I’ve come to know and love from prior books in the series were present here and there throughout the story. Fighting the […]

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ The Girl in the Mist ~ Kristen Ashley

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ The Girl in the Mist ~ Kristen Ashley

Wifey, I was most impressed with The Girl in the Mist, KA’s first foray into true romantic suspense. Of course, she’s not disappointed me yet with any genre she’s dipped her toe into. What did you think overall? Did she win you over? Is that a real question, wifey? Like, yeah, of course she won me over – I loved it! It was so well done.    One thing that impressed me most was the fact that although I knew KA was dropping hints, leaving clues, and throwing red herrings, I didn’t have a clue whodunit. Oh, I had myriad theories but I was surprised at the reveal. Did you figure out whodunit? I did not figure out whodunit at […]

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ Dream Spinner ~ Kristen Ashley

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ Dream Spinner ~ Kristen Ashley

Dream Spinner was a highly anticipated installment in the Dream Team series for me. Let’s start at the surface level before we delve deep into Hattie & Axl, shall we? Yes, let’s do that! I have to admit that I’ve been looking forward to Hattie and Axl’s story from the beginning – or at least since we met them. There seemed something a little deeper about these two and I was keen to explore it. KA had hinted at Hattie’s history so it wasn’t a surprise. Finding out she had indeed suffered abuse – both emotional and physical – at the hands of her father was sickening. Add to that her previous relationships…bad news. That she continued to expose herself […]

Review ~ The Time in Between ~ Kristen Ashley

Review ~ The Time in Between ~ Kristen Ashley

I think I’ve established that I’m a sucker for second chance romance and The Time in Between is the ultimate in second chances at romance. It was a beautiful story with beautiful characters set in a beautiful locale. And it was pure Kristen Ashley. I’ve loved all the books in the Magdalene series but this one is my very favorite. Coert and Cady were once very much in love and committed to the long haul. Circumstances tore them apart and kept them apart for almost 20 years. They’re both very stubborn and Cady arriving in Coert’s hometown has him digging his heels in not wanting to listen to Cady. But Cady is determined. And those feelings from so long ago? […]

PassionFlix Movie Review ~ The Will ~ Kristen Ashley @PassionFlix

PassionFlix Movie Review ~ The Will ~ Kristen Ashley @PassionFlix

As you may know, I’m not a t.v. watcher. I don’t even watch movies all that often although we have been watching one a week as a family activity since the kids came home from college because of Covid. Anyway, I first heard about PassionFlix at RT although I can’t recall which year…I’m thinking 2017. I was so excited. I mean, what could be better than a movie version of my favorite books? But then I got nervous because “the book was better” and life happened and I forgot all about PassionFlix. Until The Will. I first saw that The Will was being made as a movie when I saw an IG post from KA. It was a photo of […]

Review ~ Soaring ~ Kristen Ashley

Review ~ Soaring ~ Kristen Ashley

Kristen Ashley never disappoints me and Soaring was no different. This story had it all…engaging characters (even the kids!), character growth, realistic family issues…and I loved it all. Highlights: Seasoned Characters I have to admit to loving the fact that KA writes seasoned characters. Both Amelia and Mickey are closing in on 50 and I like experiencing life with and through characters that have lived as much life as I have. Second Chance Romance If you haven’t yet figured out that I’m a sucker for this trope, you will. Yep, I’m a sucker for it. I adore that Amelia and Mickey have lived the lives they’ve lived, lost at love, but are growing, changing, and getting a second chance at […]

Review: Free – Kristen Ashley

Review: Free – Kristen Ashley

Oh my goodness! I just love me some Chaos, and I have to say that Rush and Rebel’s story got to me in every way. These alpha MC men, with their wild, intelligent, and fun women always get to me – but I just adored Free! Free is the last installment in the Chaos series, and it was sad to see some of my favorite characters ever for the last time. It was also a great story, though, so I was completely satisfied when I came to the end. Rush and Rebel were made for each other! She was a strong woman, and she was able to hold her own – both with Rush and with other men. Rush is […]

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ Wild Like the Wind ~ Kristen Ashley

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ Wild Like the Wind ~ Kristen Ashley

I’d always wanted Keely and Hound’s story and Wild Like the Wind was so well worth the wait! I agree! They both intrigued me – and Keely was always a little bit on the sidelines – present, but not really. And I was so curious about her. Hound seemed very mysterious, too – and he slayed me!   I’d always wanted the story of Black, the fallen Chaos brother who is tattooed on ALL the brothers, and his wife, Keely. I also wanted to story behind Hound’s dedication to Keely. What did you think of all KA shared about them? Oh. My. Gosh! I fell in love with them from the prologue! Because they were both so completely loyal. So […]

Review: Mystery Man – Kristen Ashley

Review: Mystery Man – Kristen Ashley

Mystery Man is classic KA! Very, very alpha male, lots of humour, love, suspense and squishy heart on my part… Story: There is so much going on in Mystery Man, some of it good, some of it bad, some of it ugly – all of it pretty amazing. Once I got over Hawk’s bossiness and Gwen’s waffling, I fell in love with them both. And as always, Ashley brought out the big guns when it comes to turns of phrases that made my heart turn over! Gwen’s sister was so much trouble, and she didn’t seem to care that she put her family in danger with her antics. Good thing that Gwen was on a lot of hot, alpha-men’s radar. And they […]

Review: Bounty – Kristen Ashley

Review: Bounty – Kristen Ashley

Bounty proved that there is more to life than fame and money, and while Justice had all that, she had so much more! Justice and Deke were the bomb together, and I loved that they had a connection in the past. Bounty was such a great title for their story, too, because they were both very aware to be thankful for what they had. Justice being a music star, and someone Deke thought would be high maintenance made him quite distant with her, though, and she never understood why. As he was working on renovating her house with her already living in it, they saw each other every day, and there was both hot chemistry and a strong connection between […]
