Review: Archangel’s Sun – Nalini Singh

Review: Archangel’s Sun – Nalini Singh

In Archangel’s Sun, an Archangel who is known for being strong, and an artist who is thought to be weak have to fight the reborn together to save the world. Archangel’s Sun in which Singh so totally did it again! I have loved her Guild Hunter series from the start, and even now, after all this time, it keeps getting better with each book! I mean, Brandee, my co-blogger (or blogger-wife) and I face-timed tonight, when I was at around 60% through the novel, and I kept telling her that Titus and Shari were screaming at me to hang up with her and keep up with their story 😉 Shari is the Hummingbird – Illium’s illustrious, artistic, but apparently broken […]

Review: Love Hard – Nalini Singh

Review: Love Hard – Nalini Singh

Love Hard is a beautiful, heartfelt story where Jules and Jake meet after several years. Their past animosity is at the fore-front, however, their undeniable chemistry can’t be ignored. As always, Singh’s writing speaks directly to my heart. Love Hard had all the ingredients for a fantastic romance. Jake and Jules were not friends in high-school. They barely tolerated each other, and made do with barbs and teasing, just to show Callie that they might do an effort for her. When they meet again, the chemistry between them takes them both by surprise. And they also do their very best to ignore it. Because he’s a single father, Jake is not a typical, famous rugby-player. He’s very private, and he […]

Review: Rebel Hard – Nalini Singh

Review: Rebel Hard – Nalini Singh

Rebel Hard was such a swoon-worthy story. Trying to stay within their families’ and culture’s tradition, Nayna and Raj had their work cut of for them! But what a beautiful path they were on! Story: Singh always makes me swoon – and she did so with Rebel Hard as well. I loved this peek into Indian customs in New Zealand. How many young people choose to follow traditions, but not completely to the letter. And while parents might seem to hold all the power, that was not always the case here. The two main characters were so relatable – even if I don’t really have much in common with them apart from being human. And that’s legacy to the writing. […]

Review: Cherish Hard – Nalini Singh

Review: Cherish Hard – Nalini Singh

Cherish Hard brought me some very down-to-earth characters, they were fiercely loyal, had strong hearts, and were willing to take a big chance in order to have love in their lives. Story: Both Sailor and Ìsa had some demons from their past to fight, but Cherish Hard didn’t make that the main thing of their story, and that helped me enjoy them even more. Because they wanted to break with their family’s tradition, Ìsa worked as a teacher, rather than as the VP of her mother’s company. And Sailor gave his landscaping business his all. He would live on nothing but hard work and sweat to make his business a success. Their first meeting had me melting. Ìsa was at […]

Review: Archangel’s Viper – Nalini Singh

Review: Archangel’s Viper – Nalini Singh

Archangel’s Viper was a whirlwind of plot, action and feels! Fast paced, with a lot at stake, I was taken for a trip I won’t soon forget. Story: Archangel’s Viper is about Holly and Venom, and the attraction between them. It’s also about the voice Holly hears in her mind, and how she’s grown extremely strong and fast in a short time. She needs discipline, which Venom has in spades. But she needs more than being a fighter, too. Venom and Holly go on a dangerous trip to figure out what is happening to her, and not one, but two Archangels are needed to deal with some of the things that come up on that trip. I loved getting to […]

Review: Silver Silence – Nalini Singh

Review: Silver Silence – Nalini Singh

Silver Silence has all the things I love about the Psy-Changeling series – a strong female lead, mystery and suspense, all the feels and hotness Silver fucking Merchant totally got to me in Silver Silence! And she sure got to a certain bear as well. Every single feel there is was invested in Valentin’s and Silver’s story, and I  loved how the overall story-arch and plot moved forward. If you’ve visited me before, you know I’m a huge Nalini Singh fan, and that was definitely cemented with Silver Silence. All the awesomeness. Silver was a character I had met several times in the prior Psy-Changeling books, as she was Kaleb’s assistant. She always seemed to be so distant and cold […]

Review: Archangel’s Heart – Nalini Singh

Review: Archangel’s Heart – Nalini Singh

I loved Archangel’s Heart, both because Raphael and Elena were the main characters, and because we delved into Elena’s past, through her quest for genealogy while they were in Morocco on Cadre business. I don’t know what it is about Singh, but when I read her series – even the ones where there is a lot of trife and fights and uncertainty, I feel comforted when I pick up a new book. Archangel’s Heart is no different, and I loved being immersed in Elena and Raphael’s love once more. The overall feel of this story was quite tense, because the cadre was summoned to Morocco, and the sect that summoned them needed to know whether or not one of the […]

Review: Secrets at Midnight – Nalini Singh

Review: Secrets at Midnight – Nalini Singh

Secrets at Midnight was delicious, like a snack just the way you like it! I’m always in awe at how good Singh is at character development – even in her shorter stories, I get the full experience of fleshed out characters that entice me and keep me coming back for more! Secrets at Midnight was just what I needed to hold me over until the next installment is released. Bastien was a great character, and I loved how confused he was about Kirby at the start… And how he went about to woo her even when he understood that she didn’t really know herself as well as she could have. Even though this story is a novella, the character development […]

Review: Rock Wedding – Nalini Singh

Review: Rock Wedding – Nalini Singh

Rock Wedding is a toe-curlingly wonderful second-chance-at-love romance, and I loved everything about it! In the prior Rock Kiss books, Sarah and Abe were mentioned together, and it was obvious the end of their marriage happened because of Abe. In Rock Wedding, we finally got their full story, mostly told from Sarah’s perspective, and she totally and utterly broke my heart! She’s such a beautiful soul that has been through a lot of hard times and heartache, and she thought that with Abe, things would be different. And they were – for a while. Until Abe’s own demons became so ever-present he couldn’t keep them all on the inside of his heart anymore, and started spewing them out on Sarah […]

Review: Allegiance of Honor – Nalini Singh

Review: Allegiance of Honor – Nalini Singh

Allegiance of Honor is a fabulous instalment in the Psy-Changeling series! While this is a bridge book, there was still plenty of new plot-lines appearing, as well as some favorite characters who re-appeared. I found Allegiance of Honor to be a pitch-perfect part of one of my all time favorite PNR / Dystopia / Sci-Fi series! One story-arch was more or less finished in Shards of Hope, this story managed to bridge the upcoming story-lines by showing readers how most of their favorite couples are doing so far. Each book has concentrated on one couple, and while these couples showed up in later books, this is where their progress as a couple as well as pack-members or psy-net members. And […]
