STS #86 – Bought Borrowed & Bagged #36
Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about the latest additions to your library – virtual or actual, with books that are bought, borrowed, won or ARCs you will be reading soon. BB&B is a homage to to Barron’s Books and Baubles from Karen Marie Moning’s amazing Fever series, and is hosted by Braine over at Talk Supe.
Without further ado, here’s what I Bought and Bagged this past week (I didn’t borrow any books from anywhere)
From Netgalley, I received Second Chance Summer by Jill Shalvis, Ride Steady by Kristen Ashley, Sworn to Protect by Katie Reus, A Buckhorn Summer by Lori Foster, The Piano Man Project by Kat French and Lair of Dreams by Libba Bray. Thank you Avon, KR Press LLC, Forever, Grand Central Publishing, Harlequin and Little, Brown Books for Young Readers.
I had Shards of Hope by Nalini Singh on pre-order, and I also got the audio for review from Tantor Pub.
Donna Cummings sent me the ARC for Bad Ex Karma, her newest story – which I can’t wait to read.
Did you get some exciting-looking books this week? Remember to leave me your link so I can check out your Stacking the Shelves and or Bought, Borrowed and Bagged post, too 🙂 Thanks for stopping by! Have a spectacular Saturday.
I’m not really familiar with any of the books on your haul this week though I have tried one of the authors before and found it too romance based for my taste! Hope you enjoy all your books this week!
Too much romance and not enough zombies? 😉 Have a great weekend Chuckles!
Like Chuckles, I don’t know any of the books on this list, except Libba Bray (and I wasn’t a big fan of the one book I read by her…) Hope you enjoy!
I actually haven’t read the first Diviners book, Nikki… But I still couldn’t resist this one.
The Piano Man Project has caught my eye! I hope you enjoy all of your new additions! Happy Reading and have a lovely weekend! 🙂
Yeah, that one kind of jumped out at me when I was browsing Netgalley a while back, Chrissi 😉
Lair of Dreams! ::Sigh:: Nice haul, Lexxie!
Yeah, I know! Only afterwards did I realize I haven’t read the first book… so today, I bought that 😉
Nice haul! I also got Second Chance Summer by Jill Shavis from netgalley. I requested it a while ago on a whim, not thinking I would get accepted and then this week I got the e-mail I got accepted, yay! I also got a lot netgalley books this week, I couldn’t stay away, so many good books.
You know I absolutely adore Shalvis’ books, right? I’m so excited about this new series 🙂 Netgalley is the devil… I can never stay away, especially not when I really, really should!
Awesome haul of books, Lexxie. Lair of Dreams is popular this week. I hope that you love all your new books
Yeah, and of course, I only realized after getting it that I haven’t read the first book in the series. Oh well…
Oh nice! Those are new to me reads! Hope you enjoy each and every one of them!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Thanks, Jessica, I hope I will enjoy them all, too 😉
I’m really excited for “Ride Steady”. I hope to read it by the end of the month but I just got a crazy load of books from the library so we’ll see. KA deserves a good mood. Happy reading!
Tsuki’s STS
Me, too, Tsuki, KA definitely deserves a good mood 😉

Carolyn @GeekGirlOTP
I heard of the Jill Shalvis book because I’m a big fan of hers, so if you haven’t read many books by her, it’s quite normal that you haven’t heard of her new series 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, Carolyn.
I see that you have the awesome Lair of Dreams in your new titles!! When I saw that email I literally screamed out loud! I was so bummed that I wouldn’t get an eARC of it now it is in my fingertips.. mwahahhaa.
YAY so you got it, too, Faye?
What a great selection of books, the only author I have came across is Katie Reus! I hope you enjoy reading them!
Heather @ Random Redheaded Ramblings
Katie Reus writes really good romantic suspense, and I look forward to reading Sworn to Protect!
Lots of romance. Katie Reus is an author I’d like to try. Enjoy!
You should definitely try a Reus book, Bea, her romantic suspense is fantastic!
I see you snagged 3 of my faves: Lori Foster, Jill Shalvis and N SingH. Yay! Hope your weekend is going well! Hugs…www.intheknowwithro.blogspot.com
I know, right? Donna Cummings is another favorite of mine, her sense of humor mixed in with her romance is amazing 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, Ro.
Ride Steady looks good! Do you happen to know if it’s a series that has to be read in order?
Enjoy your books! 😀
I haven’t read the first book in the Chaos series, Stephanie, but I really enjoyed the second… so I guess you don’t necessarily have to read those books in order.
Great haul this week! I really want to check out The Diviners series by Libba Bray. I loved her book Beauty Queens!
Krystianna @ Downright Dystopian
I didn’t realize until after I got her book that I haven’t read The Diviners… so now, I bought that one 😉

Is Bad Ex Karma contemporary?
I’m hoping I get approved for Bray’s novel too!
Yes, Bad Ex Karma is contemporary rom-com 🙂 I love Cummings’ stories, because her sense of humor is that special brand that always tickles my funny bones.
GORGEOUS haul Lexxie^^ Lair of Dreams is so pretty, I can’t wait to get into it myself. So far I’ve just been petting the pretty LOL I love the covers for Piano Man Project and Shards of Hope ♥ Happy reading doll!
LOL, petting the pretty is good, right? Thanks for stopping by, Micheline!
Piano Man I enjoyed sounds great, hope you enjoy and have a great weekend.
Thanks Brandi, you too!
Jill Shavis is an author that I keep meaning to get to at some point. I have a few friends that absolutely swear by her. I hope you enjoy your new stack!
