In other news
I signed up for #RT2015 this week, and already got my plane ticket, and I have reserved a room at the Hyatt Regency as well. I am SO excited! This will be my first conference, and I will be rooming with my very good blogger friend Brandee of Bookworm Brandee. It will also be the first time we meet in real life, but we have chatted for a year and a half, so I think we’ll have a lot of fun together.
I have also chatted with two of my professors regarding my Master’s thesis, and they are both interested in supervising me. So this week was full of amazing news.
What have you been up to this past week? Don’t forget to leave me a link so I can come visit your Sunday Post as well.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!

YAY! I’m going to RT 2015. It is my first time too. I have not book my flight yet, because I want to see what rates Southwest has and they are not booking that far out yet. I’m rooming with Jennifer The Book Nympho. It will be our first time meeting in real life too. I’m so excited to meet everyone. I feel like I already know everyone so well, if I haven’t met in person.
YAY Melanie! That’s awesome, I can’t wait to meet you in Dallas, too 🙂 I booked my plane ticket already, because flights from Europe to the US are usually cheaper the earlier they are booked. And I only got one stop, so I’ll go Geneve / London / Dallas.
I’m so excited, and you’re right, there are many bloggers I feel like I know really well already, because chatting here and there, and having a common passion for books.
Thanks for stopping by.

Glad to hear that your schooling is going well!
I’m very happy about that, too, Stormi 🙂 Thanks for stopping by.
I think of going to RT but, I don’t think I am up for it. I would like to go with my husband somewhere instead. I went to BEA twice and AAD once and while I enjoyed them, I have a tough time with all the costumes and such. I would like serious blogger & author events with panels and workshops and less social stuff. There really aren’t things like that except for one at BEA.
my post today is http://fangswandsandfairydust.com/2014/11/october-tally.html
If you’ve already been to other conventions, I can understand that you’d rather do something with your husband, Steph 🙂 I know there are quite a few workshops at RT next year, tough, and you could bring your husband, there’s a discount for spouses 😉
I would love to go to BEA one year, too, but Brandee had already planned on RT, and I just really want to meet her, so RT it was 🙂
Thanks for stopping by.
No need to justify your decision. I think I am partly wistful. I took my husband to two BEAs and AAD and he offered to go to Houston. I dither. I usually travel with him on business and it is a weird turnaround for us.
I wasn’t to justify, I was trying to convince you 😉 But I understand wanting to do something else, too. It will be my first book convention, and also my first visit to Dallas.
Eep! That’s so exciting you’re going to RT! I have never been to a conference either, there don’t seem to be many of them here in Europe. I hope you have fun meeting Brandee. I would love to meet some bloggers in real life.
Yeah, the only book fair I now about in Europe is the one in Frankfurt, and usually not many authors I have read go there. It would be awesome if the ladies (and gents) over at RT would do a European edition one year 😀
And we could definitely try to organize a European blogger get-together, too. Hanging out with other book-lovers just has to be a lot of fun!
Thanks for stopping by, Lola.
Oh COngrats!! I hope you enjoy your trip, Lexxie! 🙂
I’m pretty sure I will, Kiran. I’m so excited, though, how am I going to be able to wait six months?
Thanks for stopping by.
yup, waiting for something you’re so excited for can be pretty hard! 😀 I hope you find distractions! 😛
Yeah, classes and the kids should keep me fairly busy 🙂
Oh RT sounds like so much fun Lexxie! I’m finally going go get a chance to meet some real bloggers in a few weeks at a book convention here in Canada called Inspire so like you, i’m pretty excited to meet some bloggers! Have fun 🙂
Yeah, meeting our online friends for real is amazing. And I’m sure you’ll have a lot of fun – you already have a few things in common for sure. Are you going to post about the convention? Where in Canada is it?
Thanks for stopping by, Lily.
Oh have fun at RT and how exciting! Meeting a book blogger friend in real life sounds like a lot of fun! It’s so fun to hang out with people who really like books too! Glad your week went so well. Good luck with your thesis. Have a great week!
It is really exciting. I can’t even tell what will be more exciting – meeting some of my favorite authors or hanging out with some of my favorite bloggers *grins*
Thanks for the good luck on my thesis. It’s going to be a lot of work, but at least I know what direction I want to go in now.
Thanks for stopping by, Katherine.
Lots of exciting things coming up for you. I would love to meet some of my blogging friends in person. Four of us are trying to plan it out and also some authors I’m friends with are hoping we can arrange a way to meet. Would be so cool!
That would be amazingly cool, Laura! And you’re right, a lot of exciting things will happen for me in 2015 🙂
Thanks for stopping by.
**squee** Well, you know I’m equally excited about your upcoming trip to Dallas, Texas, Lexxie! I’m thrilled over your thesis as well. You had a great week, no?
Here’s to another great week! **BIG HUGS**
*squees and happydances* I know, I know, I know! *bounces a little* I’m still really excited, Brandee.
I did have a great week last week. This week I have no classes… they call it ‘reading week’ and I have some papers to hand in next week, plus I have to read the full 3rd book of the Faerie Queene :O I love it, but it’s very slow going.
Thanks for stopping by, my dear *BIG HUGS*
Enjoy your reading week! Do you know I’ve never read The Faerie Queen?!? I’m feeling a little appalled at myself right now. :/ *haha*
Ha! I know what I need to bring you to Dallas, then 😛 Don’t feel appalled, Brandee, it’s a huge thing to read, and while it’s very interesting, it takes ages to read in the middle-English text that I have to use.
Oh #RT2015! I really wish I could go to! It’s really nice to have a friend who shares the same passion 🙂
Thanks for dropping by my blog 🙂
NYZE@everythingnyze
Yeah, I’m really excited. And most of my bookish friends are people I have only met online so far. So that makes it even more exciting – to be able to meet for real 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, Nyze.
Where is the Romantic Times Convention this year? I want to go again one of these years. I will be posting my review of Mortal Heart this week, I loved Dark Triumph. You can check out my Sunday post in the link below.
It’s in Dallas, Texas this year, Lisa. And I’m really excited because of that as well, I’ve never been to Dallas, so there are all kinds of firsts for me with this upcoming trip.
I’ll be checking out your review for Mortal Heart… I just got it on my kindle today 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, Lisa. Maybe we’ll meet in May?

Squee! I’m getting so excited for RT – I feel like everyone is coming to see me! LOL! I’m just so thrilled that RT is here in Dallas, since it makes it so easy for me to go. I need to start a list of everyone that will be there – I can’t wait to meet everyone. We need to plan something to all get together. I haven’t registered yet, but did you do the extra blogger thingy? I was confused about it and wasn’t sure if I should.
YAY Berls! A spreadsheet with everyone we know who is going, and where they’re staying at would be awesome.
I’m confused… what extra blogger thingy? The only thing they said would cost extra was the cover model mixer, and I didn’t want to pay $70 for a 90 minute party, even if some of the cover models are really hot 😀 All the other parties and mixers are included in the full blogger package, I think.
Thanks for stopping by, Berls 🙂 Each time another blogger tells me she’ll be there too, my excitement increases *grins*
* Sad face * I am so jealous you and Brandee are going to a conference together!! I wanna go too! Sucks I live soooooo far away!!
I live almost as far away from Texas as you do, Naomi… Not quite, but still. We’ll share pictures with you for sure! And maybe one day you’ll be able to make one with us?
