Teaser Tuesday - (un)Conventional Bookviews

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title and author, too, so that other Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers.

Right now, I’m reading Ever After (The Hollows #11) by Kim Harrison. Frankly, I’m not sure how I’ll be able to get through the day, because so far it’s completely impossible to put it down!

The officer clearly didn’t recognize me, but only someone who needed to be here would come dressed in formalwear. I’d have to remember that.

If there was anyone who could irritate me by simply breathing, it was Nick.

What’s your tease for today? Is it a book that’s on my humongous TBR? Thanks for stopping by today, have a terrific Tuesday and happy reading.

  1. The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova
“‘When is Saint Georges Day?” I asked.’
“‘On May sixth.” Ranov stared me down. ‘You have missed it by several weeks.'”

“I wish I could say that I did something brave, or useful, or caught Helen in my arms to make sure she wouldn’t fain, but I didn’t.”

    • Great teasers, Xyra 🙂 My memory is pretty hazy, so it’s nice to see some actual quotes.

      Have a terrific Tuesday! *hugs*

  2. Love the teaser, Lexxie! Makes my jaw clench thinking of Nick! LOL I’m thinking I agree with Rachel, who I assume this quote belongs to, in that Nick can irritate me by simply breathing as well!

When I saw the post, I thought it was your review and I was thinking “ALREADY?!?!” I do believe you read faster than I do, though. 🙂 That has to be the reason my TBR is so much larger than yours! LOL Enjoy your day in The Hollows! *hugs*

    • I actually finished it just this evening – and Brandee… PLEASE HURRY! It’s just so good. And my day in The Hollows was amazing. And the ending has made me even more impatient 😀
      Have a great afternoon. *hugs*
