The Sunday Post #41 – Weekly Wrap-up

Welcome to my Sunday Post. Thank you to Kimba over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting this weekly event. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

This past week was a week of goodbyes… My mom and my niece left on Wednesday, and my oldest daughter and her friend left yesterday. So now, and for the next two weeks, only number four and I are still here in Spain. My youngest is looking forward to having her mom all to herself, and while I’m really sad to see everybody go it’s going to be nice to just have one other person to take into account when I plan stuff, too.

Yesterday, my youngest and I opted to not go to the beach, it was really hot and humid out, so we rather went for a hike up on a small mountain in the village we’re in. Here are some photos of the views, and of us:

COYER update – 4 weeks

The COYER challenge started four weeks ago, and I’ve been doing pretty well, both when it comes to actually reading books from my kindle or bookshelves, and for the very funny Scavenger Hunt. So far, I have read 21 books, and 14 of those count for the scavenger hunt. You can check out the books I’ve already reviewed for COYER Summer 2015 here. And if you want to see which books I have read so far, even those I haven’t reviewed yet, you can find those here.

What have you been up to this past week? Don’t forget to leave me a link so I can come visit your Sunday Post as well.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!

  1. It sounds so nice where you are! I am a winter girl so this last couple of weeks here has been hot and yuck. Today is the worst and I was hoping the kids would be able to swim in our mini pool but we have someplace to do this afternoon. Hoping to come home early so the kids can at least jump in for a little bit.

My son has school during the summer and my daughter and I get to spend some time alone on Fridays together, it’s always nice to just sit around her and I.

Hope you have a fantastic week, Lexxie! Happy Reading <3 oxox

    • I love all the seasons, Michelle, they all bring something specific, in winter, the cold and the snow enchant me, in spring, everything comes to life, and I can see the tomatoes, the strawberries, the pears etc starting to bloom in my garden. In summer, it’s lovely to be by the sea, eat fresh food, hang out, and just enjoy a slower rhythm. And of course, in the fall, nature brings out all the colors!
It’s always nice to have some alone time with jus tone of the kids, they really appreciate it, and so do I, even if we usually have a lot of fun when we’re all together, too 🙂

  2. Those pictures make me so jealous! It is nice that you’re going to get some one-on-one with one of your daughters. I only have one sister, but I have to admit that at times, I wish I had my mom to myself when we see her.

    • I think one-on-one time is really important, and my husband and I do our best to make sure all four kids do get some time alone with mom and / or dad quite often 🙂
Even now as an adult, I appreciate it when I get my mom to myself, so I understand what you mean, Lyn.

  3. That must be sad to say goodbye to everyone, but it also must be nice to be there with just your youngest and give her some extra attention. Those pictures of your hike are so pretty! I hope you have a great time there!
I am doing well with Coyer, but had two slow reading weeks, so I am hoping to have a better reading week this week. Have a great week!

  4. That view is beautiful and it is always nice to just have one person to manage. That way you get to spend some quality time together and it’s also less stressful trying to get a lot of people to agree on something. You are doing really good on COYER!! I’ve only read 6 books so far for the scavenger hunt. Have a great week!
