The Sunday Post #49 – Weekly Wrap-up
Welcome to my Sunday Post. Thank you to Kim over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting this weekly event. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
This week was a short week, as we had Thursday off here in Geneva. It was nice for all of us to have that extra little break, to have a lazy day before the weekend, and still get the full weekend as well. Last Sunday, my husband and I were in a small town not far from here, Morges, for a hockey game, and there was a book festival down by the lake there. It’s called books on the quay, and with the beautiful weather it was a big success.

It’s nice to get a break during the work week. 🙂 An outdoor book festival sounds delightful, lucky you. 🙂
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Yeah, a little break that is different is always welcome 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, Bea.
A BOOK FESTIVAL! I am so so so super jealous!! I bet it was lovely!
It was lovely, Lyn, but with mostly authors I hadn’t heard of, since I don’t read much in French 😀

Oh that book festival sounds lovely. Glad you had an extra day off..those are so lovely. Hope the week ahead is a peaceful one Lexxie!
It was definitely lovely, Kim. Especially because the weather was so gorgeous, too!
That festival sounds awesome, where better than by the water? Glad you had a good week, hope this one is as well.
I agree, the water-side is the best place for most everything 🙂
Love that pic of you and your hubby at the lake – it looks like a beautiful day and a lovely spot!
Nice to see you as well!!!
🙂 Thanks Deb! Every now and then, I share an actual pic instead of my avatar 😀
Books on the Quay sounds fabulous. I have only read one of Nalini Singh’s contemp series, possibly should read some more of it. I see you really enjoyed Rock Addiction.
I absolutely love Singh, Kathryn! Her characters, her world-building, her stories – I love everything in her books.
The open air book festival sounds great! I need to get out a bit more to look at book related places though my town mostly has charity shops and I hate hoofing into Glasgow for decent bookshops! I’m not a fan of being in crowded cities! Have a good week!
There aren’t that many bookish happenings around here, Chuckles, and when there are, most of the authors are even German-speaking or French-speaking, and I read in English most of the time.
Have a great week yourself!

I love little book fairs, they don’t have a lot of them around me, I have been to one little one it was cute 🙂
A long weekend is always a good thing, I hope you enjoyed your time with family!
Have a great week, Lexxie! Happy Reading! ox
Lovely picture of you and your husband enjoying the sunshine. And I know what you mean about that bonus day off during the week. I always feel like I’m skipping school. LOL
Oh that book festival looks fun! Must have been nice to stumble upon that. And yay for an extra day off!
Thanks for linking to my post! I have read Feed your Fiction Addiction her post earlier this week, but haven’t read Brandee her post yet, so I am off to read that next! I hope you’ll have a great week!
The book festival looks awesome! What a fun thing to come upon. I do love when we get an extra bit of holiday. We had a long weekend last week and it was so nice. It was hard to go back to regular life. Have a great week!
A book festival by the lake (sigh!); I am so jealous! LOL
Enjoy your week, and I’m off to check out some of those links. Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
You look so relaxed and happy. I love just strolling past the tables of books at these kind of things.
Would love to go to a Book Festival too! Love the colors in your blog.
Great pics, that book festival looks wonderful, soooo many books! I’d be in heaven.
Have a great week!
Wow! Can’t get any better than that! Spending time with hubby in a relaxing place AND finding more books is fantastic! Love the pics! Hugs…Ro
Short work weeks are great and I wish we had them more often. I love the pictures and that is a great picture of you and your husband. Have a great week!
Time off is always great! This week will be my first official week back to the mundane job I am not real fond off…lol. It’s not real bad and I only work four days a week for five hours so I guess I can handle it. 🙂
Yay for a short week!! Very awesome that there was a book festival and great weather – Have a wonderful week!
The book festival and day off sound great! Here they rearranged the traditional holidays, except for Thanksgiving and religious holidays to be on MOndays. That way many get a long weekend.
Oh, I didn’t know you had a break this past week. Our week was short as well since we had Monday off. It’s neat that you and hubs got to enjoy a beautiful day and a book fair besides enjoying some hockey. 🙂 I hope this week will be wonderful! **BIG HUGS**
Lucky you, getting the day off! My kids get school holidays in a week, relax time for us!
