The Sunday Post #71 – Weekly Wrap-up

Welcome to my Sunday Post. Thank you to Kimba over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting this weekly event. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

We’ve had a nice, quiet week away, and now, we’re ready to face the real world once more. Mr. Lex is coming back from Canada tomorrow, and I can’t wait to see him! I’ve missed him  a lot 🙂 I got my exam results this week, and I did really well! Now, I only have one more class for my MA, with an oral exam in late May, and I have to write my MA thesis then it’s over. You know, apart from the pesky second MA I need to teach – the one in pedagogy.

We bought a new bed for our apartment in Spain, in the smallest bedroom, there was only a single bed, now, there’s a queen size double, and we have room for nine people. Which is great, because in the summer, my sister and her two kids are coming to spend a few weeks with us, and we want everyone to be comfortable and happy 🙂

  1. Glad to hear Mr. Lex is back and that did well in your tests. Now just a class and a thesis away huh? that is fantastic! I knew you went to Spain often but I didn’t know you have an apartment and everything, I’m so jealous 🙂 I bet you guys cannot wait for the summer.
I should read Lola’s post! maybe that’s why I’m jumping from one book to another so often. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

    • The thesis might take me longer than anticipated, but at least I’m closing in on getting my degree now.
We’re very lucky to have that apartment in Spain, that’s how I can spend the whole summer there, and it’s nice to have a home away from home 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, Daniela. Have a fantastic week ahead.

  2. RO

Now that hubby is on the way back, we can all sorta guess there may be a quick breather on all that studying and writing, right? (lol) Kudos on doing so well, and what exciting news about your family coming fro the summer. Lots of great reads! Hugs…

    • Definitely a little breather, Ro, but I will have a very busy week next week, my Uni classes start, I have more teaching next week, plus a meeting tomorrow evening with all the English teachers at my school.
Thanks for stopping by. Hugs 🙂

  3. Quiet weeks are definitely good sometimes!
Congrats on your exam results. That must feel great. 😉
My week was very busy but I did manage to find reading time which made me really happy.

    • No, won’t be done with school before BEA, my exam will be at the end of May. And I have to take a week off from teaching, too… but I told them this before I got the job 😀
I don’t hate it when Mr. Lex goes away – at least not for the first couple of days – but I always miss him, and am very happy to have him back home 😀

  7. Congrats on your progress! I did my MA part-time at nights while working during the day, and it seemed to take forever. So it was a wonderful feeling to have it behind me. Enjoy!

Your Spain apartment sounds wonderful. Enjoy!

I hope you love Me Before You…reading that book took me on a wonderful voyage of discovery with this author…I still have more of her books to savor.

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

  8. Congrats on your exam results and getting closer to completing your MA! *throws all the confetti* Your hard work is definitely paying off! I hope you have a great week upcoming, and that eventually you can have some time to relax and unwind with Mr. Lex! Happy reading!

  9. Yay on doing well on your exams! That is great news. And I am also glad your husband is coming home. Good luck with your exam in May and your thesis. It’s been 19 years since I did my Master’s research project/thesis. Crazy to think about. I hope you have a wonderful week!

  10. It´s so nice to read about your week, and that you are doing so well on your studies 🙂 Ferieleilighet i Spania høres helt fantastisk ut, kjenner jeg blir litt misunnelig, he he 😉 Vi har lagt langsiktige ferieplaner og sparer nå til juleferie i Thailand til neste år.

  11. Welcome home Mr. Lex! Glad that he is returning home and you can spend more time with him! 😀 I’ve missed my boyfriend who is working abroad too and I’ll be going down in March to visit him. I always wanted to visit Spain and it’s so cool that you have an apartment there! Hope to hear more about your time in Spain during the summer. Seemed like you are having a fantastic week, wishing you a great week ahead!

Thanks for stopping by my blog 😛

  12. I know you’re happy to be home even if Spain was a nice getaway, and I’m sure you’ll be even happier once everyone is back under the same roof. 😉 It’s wonderful that your sister and her kids will come visit this summer! That will be great fun, I’m sure!
Have a great week back in the real world, Lex! *BIG HUGS*
