The Sunday Post #71 – Weekly Wrap-up
Welcome to my Sunday Post. Thank you to Kimba over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting this weekly event. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
We’ve had a nice, quiet week away, and now, we’re ready to face the real world once more. Mr. Lex is coming back from Canada tomorrow, and I can’t wait to see him! I’ve missed him a lot 🙂 I got my exam results this week, and I did really well! Now, I only have one more class for my MA, with an oral exam in late May, and I have to write my MA thesis then it’s over. You know, apart from the pesky second MA I need to teach – the one in pedagogy.
We bought a new bed for our apartment in Spain, in the smallest bedroom, there was only a single bed, now, there’s a queen size double, and we have room for nine people. Which is great, because in the summer, my sister and her two kids are coming to spend a few weeks with us, and we want everyone to be comfortable and happy 🙂

Lola @ Lola’s Reviews has a great discussion post about How Expectations Might Change Our Enjoyment of a Book.
Rashika @ The Social Potato discusses Why It’s OK to Not Read All the ARCs.
What have you been up to this past week? Don’t forget to leave me a link so I can come visit your Sunday Post as well.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!
Glad to hear Mr. Lex is back and that did well in your tests. Now just a class and a thesis away huh? that is fantastic! I knew you went to Spain often but I didn’t know you have an apartment and everything, I’m so jealous 🙂 I bet you guys cannot wait for the summer.
I should read Lola’s post! maybe that’s why I’m jumping from one book to another so often. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
The thesis might take me longer than anticipated, but at least I’m closing in on getting my degree now.
We’re very lucky to have that apartment in Spain, that’s how I can spend the whole summer there, and it’s nice to have a home away from home 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, Daniela. Have a fantastic week ahead.
That’s a lot of great stuff! Glad your mister is back home 🙂 And yay on the exam! That’s awesome 🙂
I’m very happy I did so well on my exams, Anna, now I’m in the last stretch before my degree is done 🙂
Congrats on your exam results! All the hard work is paying off so it’s time to treat yourself to a few books! *grins*
Thanks, Chuckles! I’m very happy and I always treat myself to a few books 😉
Now that hubby is on the way back, we can all sorta guess there may be a quick breather on all that studying and writing, right? (lol) Kudos on doing so well, and what exciting news about your family coming fro the summer. Lots of great reads! Hugs…
Definitely a little breather, Ro, but I will have a very busy week next week, my Uni classes start, I have more teaching next week, plus a meeting tomorrow evening with all the English teachers at my school.
Thanks for stopping by. Hugs 🙂
Quiet weeks are definitely good sometimes!
Congrats on your exam results. That must feel great. 😉
My week was very busy but I did manage to find reading time which made me really happy.
Have a great week and I’m glad to hear Mr. Lex is getting back!! 😉
True, some nice and quiet every now and then is good for sure! And yes, I’m very happy about my exam results. Maybe I’ll manage to become a teacher before I retire now 😉

Looks like you’ve had a great week. Sounds great to have your family to come in Spain and to have enough room for everyone. Congrats on your exam and almost finishing your MA. Good luck on the rest of it.
I really look forward to spending some time with my sister and my niece and nephew in the summer, we do meet several times every year, but not usually for that long 🙂
Thanks, Melanie!
Congratulations for doing well on your exams! I know it must be a great feeling. I am glad that you had a nice vacation and it is good that Mr. Lex will be home soon. Hope you next week is great!
Thank you, Carole, I’m so happy! And it’s nice to have Mr. Lex back home, even if he’s a bit jet-lagged and tired 🙂
Congrats on your exam! That’s great. And sounds like you guys had a good time. Nice post on Outlander- very interesting. I haven’t read it or seen it but I know it’s a sensation and it’s interesting to see peoples’ take on it. Have an awesome week!
Thanks, Greg 🙂 I’m glad you enjoy my Outlander posts even if you’re not personally familiar with the series. Have a great week yourself!
That’s amazing! Congratulations. All that hard work, pays off. Nearly there now. Looking forward to all your posts. Have a great week.

You are almost at the end of your journey. Will you be done with school before BEA? Glad the Mr. is coming home, I hate when my goes away. So exciting your sister is coming to visit. Good things are happening!!
No, won’t be done with school before BEA, my exam will be at the end of May. And I have to take a week off from teaching, too… but I told them this before I got the job 😀
I don’t hate it when Mr. Lex goes away – at least not for the first couple of days – but I always miss him, and am very happy to have him back home 😀
Congrats on your progress! I did my MA part-time at nights while working during the day, and it seemed to take forever. So it was a wonderful feeling to have it behind me. Enjoy!
Your Spain apartment sounds wonderful. Enjoy!
I hope you love Me Before You…reading that book took me on a wonderful voyage of discovery with this author…I still have more of her books to savor.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
Thank you Laurel-Rain 🙂 It is hard to do it all, but it’s also worth it 🙂
I did enjoy Me Before You, but I didn’t find it as emotional as some of my blogger-friends.
Yeah for your exam results. I hope you had a lovely relaxing time in Spain and got some fresh air and sun on your face:)
🙂 It was a nice and relaxing time in Spain, not all that sunny, but still nicer than home 🙂
Congrats on your exam results and getting closer to completing your MA! *throws all the confetti* Your hard work is definitely paying off! I hope you have a great week upcoming, and that eventually you can have some time to relax and unwind with Mr. Lex! Happy reading!
Thanks, Kat!
That’s fantastic! Good job on your exams! That’s great that Mr. Lex will be home soon. I hope you get a chance to relax. It sounds like you’re ready to have lots of guests at the Spain apartment. Have a great week!
Thanks, Katherine 🙂
Congrats on doing well on your exams! That’s fantastic! I still need to read Me Before You & seeing your upcoming review for it just reminded me xD I really need to do that before the movie comes out!
I was reminded to read it because of the movie trailer, Molly 🙂 Thanks for stopping by.
Yay on doing well on your exams! That is great news. And I am also glad your husband is coming home. Good luck with your exam in May and your thesis. It’s been 19 years since I did my Master’s research project/thesis. Crazy to think about. I hope you have a wonderful week!
I’m so happy with my exam results you can’t even imagine. Thanks for stopping by 🙂
An apartment in Spain sounds divine – hope you get to enjoy lots of time with your family there!
It is awesome, Nicole! Thanks for stopping by 🙂
Woohoo for the exam. Oh goodie, now you have plenty of room for me in Spain. lol. Have a great week, Lexie. Glad hubby will be home.
Of course we’ll have room for you in Spain, Christy… just let me know a few days in advance 😉
Congrats on the exam and good luck on the rest! And it sounds like you’ve already got some fun summer plans 🙂 Have a great week!
Yeah, summer vacation is something that keeps me going in the dark winter months, Kristen 😀 Thanks for stopping by.
I just had to look up the word ‘pedagogy’ and I’m a teacher. Hahaha. I’m so stupid. 😛
Best of luck on your oral exam. 🙂 (Although I know you have plenty of time yet)
Sorry about that, I guess I could have said teaching certificate or something? Here, it’s actually a 2nd MA and it is in pedagogy 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, Ceri.
Yay for the hubbie coming home, and congrats and doing so well with your MA! You can do it!! I’d love to visit Spain someday. Sigh.
Thanks, Lauren! I’m happy he’s home, too 🙂 I hope you’ll be able to take a trip to Spain some day 🙂
What a great plan for summer! I don’t think I could get all my family together like that, and if we did, it might not end so pretty! Congratulations on your exam! That is excellent news!
My sister and I get along really well, and so do our kids, so I think we’ll have a lot of fun 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, Charlie.
It´s so nice to read about your week, and that you are doing so well on your studies 🙂 Ferieleilighet i Spania høres helt fantastisk ut, kjenner jeg blir litt misunnelig, he he 😉 Vi har lagt langsiktige ferieplaner og sparer nå til juleferie i Thailand til neste år.
Klemmer.
Welcome home Mr. Lex! Glad that he is returning home and you can spend more time with him! 😀 I’ve missed my boyfriend who is working abroad too and I’ll be going down in March to visit him. I always wanted to visit Spain and it’s so cool that you have an apartment there! Hope to hear more about your time in Spain during the summer. Seemed like you are having a fantastic week, wishing you a great week ahead!
Thanks for stopping by my blog 😛
It’s always nice when he comes back home after being away, Natasha, but in a way it’s also nice to miss him… is that weird?
Thanks for stopping by.
I know you’re happy to be home even if Spain was a nice getaway, and I’m sure you’ll be even happier once everyone is back under the same roof. 😉 It’s wonderful that your sister and her kids will come visit this summer! That will be great fun, I’m sure!
Have a great week back in the real world, Lex! *BIG HUGS*
Yeah, it’s always nice when we’re all home – for as long as it lasts 😉 *BIG HUGS*
Mmm Spain sounds nice, it is so cold just now. Yay for Mr Lex coming home!
Happy reading!
It was really nice, Heather, but not all that warm. Our place is in the North. We still had a nice time, though, and being by the sea is always good.
Glad to see your hubby will be home soon! And sounds like the apartment in Spain is fitted out nicely!
Have a great week Lexie!
We are all settled in there now, Naomi, and it’s so nice when we go there, because it’s a second home 🙂
Thanks for stopping by.
A bigger bed? So now I can come live with you??
We’re only there for our vacations, but sure, come visit!!
