Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #16
Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes… If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.
The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.
This week my quote is from The One Thing by Marci Lyn Curtis
Hungry Hearts quote:
“Anyway, one word for you: Doritos.” He paused, all dramatically, and then went on. “The thing is, Thera? I just had one of those aha moments. The ones Oprah is always talking about? I just realized that the Dorito is the perfect chip.” There was this crunching sound on Ben’s end of the line, like he was killing a bag of Doritos in my ear. “Just the right amount of salt,” he said. “Intense flavor. They go perfectly with water, milk, juice or soda. And, if I don’t brush my teeth after I eat them, I can taste them for approximately ten hours. What’s better than a chip in your mouth for ten hours? Nothing. That’s right: nothing. That’s frigging perfection. I believe that the masterpiece known as the mighty Dorito may just be your Thing. […]”
Have you read any edible or drinkable quotes this week? please share 🙂
Thanks for stopping by today, have a terrific Thursday!
Omigosh! That’s pretty funny! I’m not sure I want a chip in my mouth for 10 hours…but I do have a weakness for corn chips. 😉 Doritos, however, are not my fav. Those chips we had at RT (at the bar) were pretty darn good, though! 😉
I have to tell you…I got my post all ready for TT&HH last week, along with a matching review. And then I realized I hadn’t posted my review of the previous book in the series. :/ So I had to change it’s post date to the 4th. *ha* That’s okay because I have something scheduled in advance. But I didn’t have the energy to go about preparing another one. I’ll have one this week though. 🙂
