Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #35

Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes…  If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.

The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.

I’m staying with Nalini Singh this week, Rock Redemtion is the third Rock Kiss book, and it slayed me. So well done, but Noah’s past shredded my heart. He was still so very sweet, though, and while he didn’t want to be in a couple with Kit, he cared for her very much, and wanted only the best for her.

My Hungry Hearts quote:

“I’ll make the waffles from scratch,” he said, his cheeks creasing.
Her mouth fell open. “Since when can you cook?”
“I didn’t say I could cook. I said I could make waffles.”

I’m definitely making waffles for breakfast tomorrow! This made me so, so hungry. I love waffles, and those that are made from scratch are the best – they just have that extra special delicious taste 🙂 On top of that, he didn’t think of himself as a good cook, but he had those waffles down pat.

Thanks for stopping by today, have a terrific Thursday and happy reading! Don’t forget to link up 🙂

  1. Okay, now I must have some waffles! One of my favorite breakfasts, and I have it so seldom. Unlike the character, I am not an waffle cook, but my mother’s were the best!

    Thanks for sharing!
