Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #54
Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes… If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.
The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.
I have a quote from Anything for You again this week, but today it’s a Thirsty Thursday quote, because Connor isn’t only an amazing chef, he wants to expand his business and make beer as well. If you know me at all, you know I love beer, and craft beer is the very best!
My Thirsty Thursday quote:
He was warm. He smelled like garlic. Her uterus trembled again. The next few slides were mock-ups of the labels for the types of beer he planned to produce: India Pale Ale, Amber Lager, Pilsner, Porter, Stout. Each had its own label, the Dog Face IPA was her favorite, featuring an antiqued photo of a collie, after his sister.
Are you a fan of beer? If yes, are there some small breweries near where you live? (Yes, I might just want an invite to come visit the brewery – darn! – I mean you…)
Thanks for stopping by today, I look forward to reading your Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts quote. Have a terrific Thursday and don’t forget to link up.
Lex, you know Colorado is home to the largest number of craft breweries in the US, right?? So when are you visiting??? 😉 I have TWO craft breweries…YES TWO, here in Evergreen. A town with a population of ~10000. We love our beer! And I think I’d like to read more about Connor’s beers. A man who can cook and create tasty beer…that’s heavenly! I only got one out the two in my hubby. 😉
**BIG HUGS**
I do know that, Brandee, and it’s one of the many, many reasons I really hope I’ll be able to come for a visit to Evergreen in not too long 🙂 Connor’s beers – and his cooking – are definitely worth reading about, too 😉
I am thirsty already! My eldest son is a beer aficionado…and he would be going crazy here! LOL
He lives in the right country if he’s a beer aficionado, Laurel-Rain. He’s the one who lives in Prague, right? They have some of my favorite beers 🙂
I love, love craft beer! Literally right now I’m drinking an All Day IPA by Founders, but the Dallas area has a pretty fantastic craft beer scene. My favorite is Lakewood Brewing. 🙂
So, the book I’m currently reading hasn’t mentioned any food, but you know what series had drool-worthy sounding food? Redwall! There’s a even cookbook of everything mentioned!
Craft beer is awesome! And I’m going to have to check out Redwall so I can check it both for the deliciousness and for the cookbook! Thanks for stopping by, Madilyn.

Beer’s not really my thing. We only have one local brewery here ;). How many do you have near you?
There are just one or two small, local breweries close to me. I love tasting different kinds of beers, and I would love to go on a micro-brewery trip one day 🙂
