Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #61

Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes…  If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.

The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.

There’s a delicious food quote in Just Fall, but the situation surrounding that amazing breakfast is anything but good… I’d like that for my breakfast today, though, but just being myself and enjoying the food 😉

My Hungry Hearts quote:

Seated, she catches a waiter’s eye and orders: eggs, bacon, toast, home fries, mango, coffee with cream. The order placed, she drums her fingers on the table, suddenly unable to think of anything but food. She can’t remember ever feeling so hungry. With a smile, the waiter deposits Ellie’s food in front of her. The scent of the food makes her dizzy. She starts with toast and coffee. Just eat. Forks up some egg. Just eat. Home fries. A bite of bacon. A sip of coffee. A luscious chunk of mango. More eggs. Just eat. Then I’ll know what to do next.

Thanks for stopping by today, I look forward to reading your Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts quote. Have a terrific Thursday and don’t forget to link up.

    • A good breakfast is the best way to start a day, Anette 🙂 Jeg har faktisk ikke lest noe av Kiera Cass, glad du ble så inn i historien at du har bookhangover nå, særlig fordi du har mange flere bøker å lese i serien 🙂
Vi har endelig skikkelig vår her – noe som betyr at all pollen flyr rundt…

  2. Hmm, the quote and your comment about it have me curious about what’s going on with Ellie. I do understand that sometimes a familiar routine – like eating – can help us sort things out in our minds and hopefully this breakfast helped her. And I’m with you, I sure would like this for breakfast!! 🙂
Happy Friday, Lex. Sorry I didn’t get by yesterday. I was at school all day with the kids – mostly Sky. **BIG HUGS**
