Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #66
Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes… If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.
The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.
Today, I’m sharing a hungry hearts quote from Michelle Mankin’s Strange Magic, Thyme makes ice cream for her ice cream parlor in New Orleans, and it was mouth-watering to say the least!
My Hungry Hearts quote:
I loved the order and discipline it took to precisely follow the steps in the ice cream recipes that I used each day. But I also enjoyed being creative and dreaming up new flavors. I could barely wait to try out a new one that I hoped would mimic the flavor of a blueberry Old Fashioned cocktail.
Thanks for stopping by today, I look forward to reading your Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts quote. Have a terrific Thursday and don’t forget to link up.
Ooh, that sounds so good! Thanks for sharing…and for tempting my palate.
I can’t even imagine being able to make my own delicious ice-cream, Laurel-Rain! It would possibly be my downfall 😉
Sounds tasty and I’m kinda craving ice-cream now! 😛
Yum! I really want to visit an ice cream parlor now lol. But this book is definitely on my TBR! I feel like New Orleans is such a great setting for paranormal books.
Creating ice cream flavors sounds yummy!
Yay for Thyme’s ice cream! I liked reading about the different flavors offered in her shop. 🙂
Prepare for incoming comments, my dear. I *must* get caught up. 😉 I hope you’re having a great week! I survived graduation and having a houseful of people. My brother ended up coming and he had to sleep in the library! *haha* Anyway, I’m missing you more than I can say! <3 **BIG HUGS**
