Top Ten Tuesday – Top Ten at the top of my summer TBR

This week on Top Ten Tuesday we are discussing the books that are at the top of our summer TBR; I am including mostly books I already own, or have in my possession, and some books I have pre-ordered and just really look forward to reading. Top Ten Tuesdays is a fun meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, where we share our excitement for books, and I really like how this meme makes me think about the books I read, why I read them, and who to recommend my favorite reads to. So, here we go :

As usual, my list is in no particular order :

MacRieve - (un)Conventional BookviewsMacRieve (Immortals After Dark #13) by Kresley Cole is my pre-ordered book, I love this series, where both the male and female characters have strong, cunnning minds, and the overall storyarc is exciting.

Splintered - (un)Conventional BookviewsSplintered by A. G. Howard is another I just want to savor! I won this in a giveaway over at The Midnight Garden a while back, and I’m sure Wendy is wondering what I did with it, too!

Devil's Punch - (un)Conventional BookviewsDevil’s Punch (Corine Solomon #4) by Ann Aguirre has been on my kindle for quite a while, and is part of one of my favorite series, I have no idea why I have left it there for so long without reading it.

Lethal Rider - (un)Conventional BookviewsLethal Rider (Lords of Deliverance #3) by Larissa Ione has been winking at me these past few weeks, when I was really busy, but now it will move up on my TBR for sure! Can’t wait to read more about this strange and lethal lords!

Girl of Nightmares - (un)Conventional BookviewsGirl of Nightmares (Anna #2) by Kendare Blake is a book I got the day it was released… then, I just don’t know what happened! I think it’s time Anna, Cas and I get reacquainted!

Poison Princess - (un)Conventional BookviewsPoison Princess (The Arcana Chronicles #1) by Kresley Cole is one that I have heard much about, and it’s also been sitting on my TBR for a while.

Manuscript Found in Accra - (un)Conventional Bookviews

I have had Manuscript Found in Accra by Pauolo Coelho on my kindle since the day it was released as well, and this is a book I look forward to. Most of Coelho’s books ‘speak’ to me on a very deep lever – touching my heart and my soul both.

One Tiny Lie - (un)Conventional Bookviews

This is an ARC I got without realizing it was the 2nd book, but I’ll give it a try anyway, One Little Lie (Ten Tiny Breaths #2) by K.A. Tucker seems to be an interesting NA/romance read, and I have really gotten into NA lately, so this will hopefully be one I’ll enjoy.

Influential Magic - (un)Conventional BookviewsInfluential Magic (Crescent City Fae) by Deanna Chase got me to request it on Netgalley thanks to the cover and the blurb. I love faeries, and these seem interesting!

Rise from Darkness - (un)Conventional BookviewsRise from Darkness (Battle of Souls #1) by Ciara Knight looks like a dark book about angels, just the kind I like to read about!

What about you? Which books are at the top of your summer TBR? Do you have some you think I’d like? Please do share. Thanks for stopping by, have a terrific Tuesday.

    • Oh I know! The cover is so beautiful. I really look forward to reading Splintered ๐Ÿ™‚ Hopefully, I’ll enjoy it as much as you did.

Thanks for stopping by Rebecca ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Splintered seems to be a very good book ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope we’ll both enjoy it.

Thanks for stopping by Eveline ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Great selection! I love the cover of Splintered but was turned off reading it due to some reviews. I’m still tempted to by that cover though! I have Girl of Nightmares and haven’t read it yet, and I recently borrowed Poison Princess from the library so I’m hoping to get to that soon too! I hope you enjoy them all.
    Happy reading!

    • I know sometimes reviews makes it difficult to get into a new series or a new author, but at the same time, not having too high expectations sometimes makes me enjoy a book more, rather than less ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m not sure why I haven’t read Girl of Nightmares yet – I loved Anna Dressed in Blood.

      Thanks for stopping by Sabina.

    • That’s nice that we have a lot of books in common on our TBR list! I hope we’ll both enjoy them ๐Ÿ™‚

      Thanks for stopping by Ula.

    • I have no idea why I haven’t read Girl of Nightmares yet. Have you enjoyed the other Corine Solomon books? I have – the overall story-arc is awesome ๐Ÿ™‚

      Thanks for stopping by Shelley.

    • It’s the last one he’s published, Vikk. And I just love his work (apart from one or two of them that I just liked).

Thanks for stopping by Vikk ๐Ÿ™‚

    • LOL, I guess we all need more hours to read all the shiny books we want to read, and still get some other stuff done as well?

      Thaks for stopping by Liesel!

    • Anna is awesome! I thought it had just the right amount of creepy, and I loved that the MC was a guy ๐Ÿ™‚ I look forward to One Tiny Lie, but first I want to read Ten Tiny Breaths.

Thanks for stopping by Jessica ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I want to read Girl of Nightmares, so I can’t wait to see what you have to say about that once you read it.

Some of the things I am going to be reading are:

    Undercurrent by Paul Blackwell
    Criminal by Terra Elan McVoy
    True Love by Jude Deveraux

Stormi recently posted: Review of Heat Wave
    • I haven’t even heard of the books you mention, have I been living under a rock? *runs to goodreads to check out summaries*

Thanks for stopping by Stormi ๐Ÿ™‚

    • YAY!! I can’t wait to see what you think of Sterling! I hope you’ll love it, too. And yes, just mentioning ten books was really, really difficult ๐Ÿ™‚

And LOL about us having some of the same books on our TBR – who would have guessed, right?

      Thanks for stopping by, Brandee.

    • Thanks Micheline! I look forward to seeing your reviews of all three books – you really need to get reading Anna #1!!

      Thanks for stopping by ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Fantastic list! Splintered and Girl of Nightmares are great ๐Ÿ™‚ I realized how much I missed Cas’ voice when I started it!
I’ve also wanted to read Poison Princess for a long time! I think the paperback will be out soon, and I’ll definitely have to get it then! Ann Aguirre’s book looks awesome as well ๐Ÿ™‚
    Thanks for stopping by yesterday!

    • I’m glad you liked Splintered and Girl of Nightmares. I miss Cas as well.
Thanks for stopping by Carmen, happy reading.

    • LOL Splintered was… something… ? Can you be any more cryptic than that?

Thanks for stopping by Kara ๐Ÿ™‚
