15 Day Challenge - (un)Conventnional Bookviews

Describe One Underappreciated Book Everyone Should Read

Welcome to my Day 13 in the 15 Day book blogger challenge. This fun challenge is hosted by April at Good Books and Good Wine, she came up with this because she was in a blogging slump, and I have enjoyed getting to know a lot of bloggers better during the challenge.

The prompt of the challenge today is to describe one underappreciated book I think everyone should read. This is just one of those things that is really difficult for me, because I truly don’t think there is a single book that exists that everyone should read. Yes, there are a lot of books I think are underappreciated, and I would love it if more people would pick them up and read them – if only so I could have more people to chat about those book with ๐Ÿ™‚

I still think we all have some genres we might not ever read, or some subjects we don’t like to find in our books, so I think it would be more or less impossible to find a single book for all readers to read. Even if I know some readers are adventurous and don’t mind starting a book thinking in advance there’s a very strong chance they won’t like it.

So I’m kind of going with a non-answer today, but I will link to my Top Ten Tuesday post from last week, because it’s about the top ten authors I think deserve more recognition.

Thanks for stopping by ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a beautiful Thursday, and please let me know if you think there is a book that exists that everyone should read!

  1. This is an excellent answer, Lexxie. Reading is such a personal experience. What works for one may not work for another. I think even I have read books twice and felt differently about them both times. ๐Ÿ™‚ So I would agree that there isn’t any one book that everyone would love.

Except for maybe…nah, didn’t come up with one. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • Yeah, I have lots of bookish friends now, thanks to Goodreads and blogging, and although we often agree on lots of things, I have never seen one book we’ve all agreed on…

Thanks for stopping by Brandee ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I think you answered this one really well! It’s impossible to find a book for everyone to read. I think I would have to go with the Percy Jackson series simply because I know how many people love Harry Potter, and for me, I have read it as many times as HP. Even though it isn’t AS GOOD, it’s still on a level you know. I like going with the fact that you can’t really give a book for this one though. Jaclyn @ JC’s Book Haven.

    • Thanks Jaclyn! I guess it’s kind of a cop-out in a way, but I really think no single book can be for all.

      Have a great day!

  3. It was really hard for me to pick a book as well. The one I ended up picking was a self-published book that I was about to re-read before I read the sequel. I was surprised that I liked it so much the second read around too. In fact, for much of the book I was like…why did I rate it only 4 stars?

I’m sad to see that this challenge is almost over. I don’t really want to write my 15th day. ๐Ÿ™

    • I need to know what that book was, Lizzy, because I know there are quite a few of the books you like that I like as well.

I agree, I don’t want the challenge to be over either… It’s nice to hop around and see what people come up with for each prompt.

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by.
