15 Day Book Blogger Challenge – Blogger Mentors
Welcome to my 15th (and last!) post in the 15 Day Book Blogger Challenge, hosted by April over at Good Books and Good Wine. I’m actually a little sad to see this challenge coming to an end. I’ve had a lot of fun answering April’s prompts, and I have really loved reading everybody else’s answers as well. I guess a lot of bloggers have already finished their blogger challenge now, seeing as I haven’t posted my prompts every day since we started, but I will check the linkies to see what you have come up with if you have posted yours already.
Who is (are) your Book Blogger Mentor(s)?
I’m not so sure I can say I actually have a mentor. There are several book bloggers I admire, of course, but for different reasons. And I don’t have any specific bloggers whose advice I follow blindly, or whom I always agree with. There are some that I keep up with because I love what they do, though, and those are
Wendy of The Midnight Garden – I love her review style. She is always very articulate, polite and even if she had so many problems with a book she DNFs it, she will have at least one positive thing to say about it. She is always fair, and I trust her completely. I might not have the exact same taste in books as her, but I know she will let me know what she liked and what she didn’t like, and thus help me make my choice no matter what her rating was.
Ashley of Nose Graze – both her Bitching Book blog question and answer sessions and her crazy skills for coding are things I admire. I have bought both her theme and her UBB plugin to make my own blogging easier. I also like that she is always inventive, and will answer countless questions from those of us who aren’t fluent in HTML or CSS 🙂
Melliane over at Between Dreams and Reality – she and Inessa review books in both French and English, and sometimes they translate their own synopsis to make sure their French-speaking readers can enjoy their reviews just as much as the English-speaking ones can. I love that there is a blog that caters to both people who live in the same country as the bloggers, but that it is also branching out internationally to be able to touch a broader audience.
Alisa from Picture me Reading – because hey, it’s not easy to be completely original in the book blogging world, but Alisa manges that with gusto! Her illustrated reviews are awesome, and her pod-casts with her husband Aidan are always fun!
Do you have book blogger mentors? What have they taught you that makes your life as a blogger easier?
Thanks for stopping by – I hope we’ll stay in touch now that the Book Blogger Challenge is over!
