15 Day Book Blogger Challenge – Day 3 – Who are your Blogger BFFs?

This great book blogger challenge is hosted by April @Good Books and Good Wine , and I really have to thank April for this excellent idea. There’s a link-up at April’s blog if you want to participate as well ๐Ÿ™‚

Today, we share who our Book Blogger BFF’s are, and this is something I both love and hate doing. I have met so many great people through blogging, and I have grown really close to some of them. And I am really afraid I’ll forget to mention someone I love and interact with often and hurt their feelings ๐Ÿ™ But I will do it anyway, and if you think you should be on my list, you can fill out a complain form and e-mail it to me :p

Brandee who blogs at Bookworm Brandee and I have found many, many things in common, from the books we like reading to how many kids we have, to the blogs we follow, our favorite authors and more. It’s amazing how chatting by comments and e-mails can make you get to know someone pretty well, and feel like you want to get to know them even better! Brandee hosts awesome giveaways – both US and international, and her posts are always very personal and original.

Jaclyn Canada of JC’s Bookhaven is another blogger whose blog I check out every day – I love her reviews, and she also has to really great weekly memes – one is the Sidekick Saturday where we chat about secondary characters based on a theme, and then she also has the cover scramble on Sundays, where she blurs a cover until it’s almost unrecognizable, and we try to figure out which book it is.

I have also grown pretty close to Stormi from Books, Movies, Reviews Oh My! We don’t always read the same kind of books, but I love her reviews, and she’s really good at commenting on other people’s blogs. It’s very seldom I get up in the morning without having a comment from Stormi.

Robyn of Robgirl Books is another blogger I love interacting with. She is also a writer, but I haven’t read any of her books yet. And I don’t feel like I have to, either! I’m pretty sure I’ll pick one up one of these days, but it’s really nice to just chat about books (and her Think Out Loud posts that always make me think!) and the fact that we enjoy the same books.

Last, but not least, Melliane from Between Dreams and Reality is a blogger whose blog I visit every day, and we interact via twitter quite often as well. She is in France, so she’s closer to me geographically also. Her blog posts reviews both in French and in English for the same book, and she hosts a lot of great giveaways, too.

Who are your Book Blogger besties? Do we have any in common?

    • LOL yes, do go say hi to Jaclyn – you know she’ll be happy to see you over at her bookhaven ๐Ÿ™‚

      Thanks for stopping by, Lizzy!

    • That’s a good idea, Andi. I was in a bit of a slump these days, and even if I have a ton of reviews to write, playing with other bloggers just appealed so much more to me ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m glad you’ve found more bloggers to explore – there are so many great ones.

      Thanks for stopping by!

    • I’m sure you will, Ellie! And a good way to meet people is excactly what you’re doing right now – participating in challenges, commenting on blogs and getting to know other bloggers.

      Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I love this topic. I don’t think anyone would feel hurt. It is impossible to mention everyone and I think people understand. I love every blogger I have had the opportunity to interact with but you definitely get close with some who have more than just books in common and it is so great to make so many new friends. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • That’s true – but it would be very sad if I actually had forgotten to mention someone I chat with often! I agree that I love all the bloggers I’ve gotten to interact with and that’s part of why I love blogging so much.

Thanks for stopping by Chelsea ๐Ÿ™‚

    • LOL Stormi :)Of course you’re on here – we chat every day!!
Thanks for having me on yours, too – ๐Ÿ˜€

  2. Aww, Lexxie, you made me cry! ๐Ÿ™‚ It IS amazing how well you can get to know someone chatting over comments and email – and want to get to know them better. You KNOW you’re on my blogger BFF list as well! And I do hope that someday we’ll have to chance to meet in person. I’m really enjoying following you on the challenge. I’m getting to know you even better! LOL ๐Ÿ™‚ Oh, and Jaclyn and Robyn make my list as well.

    • *Smooch and hug* don’t cry Brandee! I agree, I really hope we’ll be able to meet in person one day! Did I tell you my step-sister moved to Denver last year? At least it’s in the same state as you, so if I go to visit her…

So we’re like a group of 4 blogger BFFs it would be fun to hang out for a weekend to just chat for real! Interrupting each other and laughing the whole time ๐Ÿ™‚

      Thanks for stopping by Brandee.

      • *hug* Thanks, Lexxie. ๐Ÿ™‚ No, I didn’t know your step-sister lives here. That’s awesome. Hopefully one day you will come for a visit.

Robyn’s dad lives here as well, so if we could just get Jaclyn up here, we could have a blogger BFF weekend! That would be so much fun! Chatting and giggling…hmm, we’ll have to get a plan in the works! LOL

        • *starts to plan a retreat in CO for sumer 2014*

That would be made of awesome! Can you imagine? I know I can! I have met some of my online bookish friends before (they don’t all have blogs, but still – we chat a lot about books) when I was in NYC almost two years ago, and it was so much fun! We even got to meet Diana Gabaldon at the Bookfair in Brooklyn!

  3. Wow! You ha ve made a lot of awesome book blogging friends Lexie! How long have you been blogging for? I love reading the responses to the Book Blogger Challenge! I feel like I’m getting to know you better ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for sharing!

  4. Thanks Lindy – I guess these questions really do help other bloggers to know me better ๐Ÿ™‚ I have been blogging for just over a year, and it’s true, I have really gotten to know some really great bloggers.

    Have a great day ๐Ÿ™‚
