Happy New Year, fellow bloggers! I hope you had fun on the last night of 2015, and that 2016 will be a fantastic year, filled with love, joy, good health, happiness, success, a little naughtiness and amazing books.
2015 in Numbers
2015 was a good year for (un)Conventional Bookviews, I read a lot of great books, and I met some new blogger friends. I was lucky enough to be able to travel to Dallas to participate in my first ever book convention RT, and it was so much fun to hang out with other bloggers – and authors! – in real life.
In 2015, my blog had almost 52’000 views, 17’000 unique visitors, and 9’920 comments. My most popular post in 2015 was the 2016 New Release Challenge sign-up post, which is good, I hope the challenge will be successful! My most popular review was for Tough Love by Lori Foster.
And It has been a lot of fun to get to know some new bloggers, as well as hanging out with those I already know and love. As I did in the beginning of last year, I want to share one of my favorite books with my top five commenters! So Brandee, Lorna, Lekeisha, Naomi and Melanie – please send me a private message somehow, either by e-mail or via twitter or facebook, so that I can e-mail you a kindle copy of a book I loved in 2015 and that I think you’ll love as well.
Thank you so much for commenting often, ladies, it’s always a pleasure to see your name show up on my screen 🙂 If you other bloggers don’t know them yet, you should check them out where they blog! They are amazing!!
Some other 2015 Numbers I wanted to share are: I read 266 books, the shortest was only 10 pages, and the longest over 700 pages. I had quite a high average rating, too, which means I was pretty good at picking books I thought I’d enjoy.
Out of the 266 books I read, 111 were ARCs, so that means I wasn’t too bad about reading my own books in 2015, I thought most of the books I bought were still hiding on my kindle, actually. I have set my Goodreads challenge to 180 books for 2016, because I know I have work from January through June, plus I will have one last class at Uni, and I have to write my MA thesis.

busy life. hope your 2016 is better!
I think 2016 is going to be busy, too, Ailyn, but I don’t mind that – I just have to make sure I’m well organized 🙂
Looks like you had an awesome year! Happy New Year 🙂
Happy New Year to you, too, Danielle 🙂
That are some great numbers. Good to see you enjoyed your reading so much. Have a great 2016!
I’m so happy I was able to pick so many books I really enjoyed 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, Ciska, and Happy 2016 to you, too.

Sounds like you had a great 2015. I had a great time meeting you at RT15. I hope that we can get together again sometime in the future. I ended my year with 168 books. I can’t believe I read that many. That might be the most ever for me. I hope that 2016 is as good of a year as 2015, book wise. I’ll be sure to contact you today. Thanks so much. I’ve really enjoyed visiting blogs and commenting this year.
I hope we’ll be able to meet up again in the future, too, Melanie! In May this year, I’m going to BEA in Chicago, so no RT for me this year, but I am planning on Atlanta next year 🙂
168 books is a lot! I remember the years when I read maybe 20 books 🙂
Those are some really impressive stats, Lexxie! Have a great 2016!
Thanks, Carole 🙂
Je te souhaite une très bonne année mon amie !
Merci, Melliane, à toi aussi 🙂 Je vais faire de mon mieux pour passer à la poste demain 😉

Great year in books! Thanks for the shout out! Happy New Year!
Look at you all organized and sharing stats and numbers Lexxie – I wish I was this organized…or good with numbers even LOL! Anyway, you certainly had a busy but wonderful year! Here’s to a wonderful 2016 and all the best to you and yours…bookish and otherwise ♥
Wow you’ve read a lot of books this year. I’ve read some long ans hort books as wel this year, but none as short or long as those you listed. I always enjoy seeing my tstas of the year and who commented the most, although I wasn’t surprised by who my top commentor was, I wasn’t sure who else would make the top 4. I hope your new release challenge for 2016 is a big succes. I am really happy you’re hosting it again and curious to see how well I will do this year. Happy New year!
266 books is amazing! For me this year was the first time I didn’t beat my reading challenge of the year before. I read 10 less books than the year before. I blame it on a few reading slumbs I had. Wishing you happy reading in 2016, Lexxie! 😀
Wow, 266 books. I wish I could read that much. Happy 2016!
Congrats on reading so many books in 2015 and that’s great you read a ton of your OWN books too. I hope to do even more of that this year. I have my Goodreads challenge at 100 books right now. I’ve never done the challenge before, so I’m not sure how many books I normally read in a year. haha I think I can make at least 100 though!
Thanks, Lauren 🙂 Yes, reading my own books is always coming last somehow, so I’m really happy I did get to quite a few of them. Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you Lexxie! Wow you read a lot of books! I think I am at 168 as of last night. One of these days I would love to go to a book convention but it’s pretty doubtful. I will send you a direct message on Twitter 🙂
You’re welcome, Lorna 🙂 Thank you for stopping by to comment so often – it’s always nice to be able to chat with other book lovers.
Nice! It looks like you had both a great reading and blogging year in 2015.
I hope your 2016 goes just as well.
Thanks, Samantha 🙂 I hope 2016 will be just as good, if not better 😉
Sounds like you’ve got a lot on your plate for this year. Good luck on your MA thesis! Do you know what your topic is yet?
Yes, it’ll be a busy year, but hopefully, it’ll be a great one! I’m going to write my MA thesis about teaching foreign languages to dyslexic kids. I’m not sure exactly how I’m going to do it, as I have to take into account the linguistics in order for it to be something the professor supervising me will be happy with.
Oh, that sounds really cool! I did one on creating a democratic classroom. I hope everything works out!
I hope I’ll find the time I need to do it well 🙂
oh it looks like you have had such a great year!! I love the GR Year in Review. Good luck this year. I am a bit lower on my GR challenge too, because this fall I will be moving and starting a job and internship so I don’t know how much time I will have to read…not as much as I have had the past year that is for sure. Hope its a fabulous year for you and your family.
I love the GR Year in Review, too – it’s so nice to have the statistics all done for us 🙂
I hope your move, job and internship will go well, and that you’ll still have time to read!
Happy 2016 to you.
Over 9,000 comments in one year? Amazing! And you read a lot too, busy year. Good luck with all of your goals for this year!
Yeah, I was very happy to see that there were that many comments! I love all the interactions both here and on other blogs 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, Bea 🙂
Great stats, Lexxie! I wish blogger had something like this – but they don’t. Naturally. :/ I still can’t get over the fact that you read 100 more books than I did. *ha* Good for you! Here’s to hoping you find at least that many more fantastic books in 2016! **BIG HUGS**
It looks like you had an amazing year of books, Lexxie! Hope you find just as many great ones in 2016 😀
So far, 2016 has been a good book-year… hopefully, these first few days of the year will continue for the duration 🙂
