Bought, Bagged and Wrapping it Up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews, Talk Supe and Caffeinated Reviewer.
STS #150 – Bought Borrowed & Bagged #100
Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about the latest additions to your library – virtual or actual, with books that are bought, borrowed, won or ARCs you will be reading soon. Bought Borrowed and Bagged is a homage to to Barron’s Books and Baubles from KMM’ Fever series, and is hosted by Braine over at Talk Supe. Without further ado, here’s what I bought, borrowed or bagged this past week:
Thank you, Baen, Pocket Books and Edelweiss!
Thank you, Harlequin and NetGalley!
Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard and This Savage Song by V.E. Schwab
Thank you so much, Michelle!!
The Sunday Post #100 – Wrapping it Up
Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
The beginning of the week was nice and slow, and on Wednesday, Mr. Lex and I flew off to NYC, where we still are now. It’s so nice to be able to get away just the two of us – it’s like several days of dates, and rekindling that feeling of being in love, and just having to take care of ourselves is really nice. Our hotel is well situated, the first thing we see when going outside is Madison Square Garden.
We have walked a lot! And shopped a lot, too. Our walk on the Highline has been one of my favorites – as usual – there’s something special about being above the traffic.
We have also taken the Staten Island Ferry, been to see Chicago on Broadway and eaten a lot of delicious food! On Friday, I set a new record, I walked over 30’000 steps!
This Week’s Freddy in Action:

I want to read Sting so badly! I’ve only seen positive reviews for it! I love the UK cover for This Savage Song!
I’m so glad you’re having fun in NY! You should go see Hamilton!!! 😀
Oooh, some funny Eve Langlais shifter books and Sting look great.
Your trip sounds great and especially because you and Mr. Lex got some special time together. Lots of fun activities for sure. 🙂
I’m going to NY soon, I’m so excited! Happy reading lady!
Hope you are having a great time in NYC-I’ve always wanted to visit but never got round to it. I always smile when I see Freddy snoozing in the sun…he just looks so comfy!
I like your haul – especially the bought books, I have them on my wishlist as well. Happy reading & keep having a great time in NYC, I envy you 🙂

I am envious of your time in NYC. Enjoy!
Sting, by Sandra Brown, is on my wish list. Have a great week, and Freddy is still cute!
I didn’t know that your were in NYC. I hope you love your time here in the City. I live in the City.
Grace @ Books of Love
OOH I have Furthermore on my TBR – it looks so good! I really want to read V.E. Schwab’s books – they sound amazing!

My Book Haul!
oy!!!! What a great group of books you have here. I love Eve Langlais, she does some fun humor in her books and I need to read her gator books. I think its great you and your hubby are spending some good quality time together and NYC is a great place to do that. I do think more couples should do what you are doing, its definitely needed. Hope you enjoy the rest of your time there.
I’m so glad that you’re having a fun time in NYC! Now if you flew six hours west, you would be where I live. I went to NYC last year, and I didn’t want to leave! I live in a suburb, and by going to a city I realized that I’m a city girl. Have a good week. 🙂
How awesome that you are on a trip to NYC with your husband. It sounds great and it’s definitely necessary to get away and enjoy time together without all the ‘normal’ life stuff. I really want to go to NYC someday!
Looks like you have some good new reads! Have a great week 😉
I’m glad you’re enjoying NYC and hope you’re not missing Freddy too much! How lovely to get away alone and I hope you continue to have a wonderful time. Guess it’s a poignant time to be there too… Sept 11.
Sting is the only one of your books that looks familiar this week so I hope you enjoy it!
I downloaded wayyy to many books to my reader this past week. I haven’t gotten a lot of reading done this weekend because it was my oldest daughter’s 6 birthday yesterday and today is her party. I’m so tired!!

SOOOO CLOSE!!! 🙂 I really wanted to get to see you this weekend but we had some family issues with Ryan and I need to monitor him this weekend. Maybe next time you are in the area we can plan something earlier. 🙂
I am glad you had a good time! That little Freddy is just so cute and I bet you miss him!
Have a great week my beautiful Friend! Miss you! Happy Reading! ox
I’m going to have to make time for Kate Meader! And more Tiffany Reisz, of course. 😉 I’m so happy you and Mr. Lex are getting to enjoy some couple time to recharge and reignite – remember all the reasons you are a couple! *waggles eyebrows* And NYC is a beautiful place to spend that time. I can’t wait to hear all about it. 🙂 And I’m wondering if Freddy will be happy when mom and dad get home!
*Smooches* and *BIG HUGS*, wife!! <3
Glad you are enjoying NYC!! I started Red Queen a couple of weeks ago but it felt too much like a mishmash of several popular dystopian books and I just couldn’t get into it. It was SO much like the hunger games that I struggled to remember that it was a different book!
Enjoy the rest of your vacation in NYC and safe travels!
Yay for NYC! Hope you guys have a blast (sounds like you’re off to a good start)!
I love the look of Angeleyes! And freddy looks chilled as usual. 🙂
I hope you are having a blast in NYC. That’s great that it’s just you and your husband. I got back from London early this morning and boy did I walk a ton there! haha It was great though.
I love Kate Meader’s books! Her Brazen books are really, really good. Sadly, Sparking the Fire was not for me – it just was not good. BUT. I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
Have a fabulous week, Lexxie. 🙂
Check out my STS post!
I’m glad you’re having such a great time on your trip! And I’ve only seen Chicago the movie, but it seems like it would be awesome on Broadway! Enjoy the rest of your trip 🙂
Glad you’re having so much fun in NY! Stay safe.
Ooh, Angeleyes looks interesting. Hope you enjoy!

I haven’t visited NYC in many, many years (I was on top of the World Trade Center on that visit, if it tells you how long it’s been). I would love to go back and I plan to very soon. Looks like you got some great books. I hope you enjoy the Bitten Point books. I know that I did. 🙂
Yay for a good trip! It’s wonderful to have that little refresher now and again. And yay for pretty new reads 😀 Hope you enjoy them!
Oh your new books look good. I like that cover for Furthermore and Halloween Harlequin book sounds fun.
Sounds like you’re having a great time in New York, that’s great you got to do a trip with just the two of you.
Freddy is adorable as usual! He looks so cute lying there sleeping in the sun. I hope you’re having a great week!
Eeeeep! This Savage Song, Red Queen and Furthermore are ALL ones I want to read asap – especially This Savage Song (Schwab ♥) Congrats on another gorgeous haul girl^^ Freddy is so adorable how do you ever leave the house? I have such a hard time leaving my kitties 🙂 Have a lovely week my friend! xx
