Bought, Bagged and Wrapping it Up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews, Talk Supe and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS #150 – Bought Borrowed & Bagged #100

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about the latest additions to your library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  you will be reading soon. Bought Borrowed and Bagged is a homage to to Barron’s Books and Baubles from KMM’ Fever series, and is hosted by Braine over at Talk Supe. Without further ado, here’s what I bought, borrowed or bagged this past week:

The Sunday Post #100 – Wrapping it Up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

The beginning of the week was nice and slow, and on Wednesday, Mr. Lex and I flew off to NYC, where we still are now. It’s so nice to be able to get away just the two of us – it’s like several days of dates, and rekindling that feeling of being in love, and just having to take care of ourselves is really nice. Our hotel is well situated, the first thing we see when going outside is Madison Square Garden.

We have walked a lot! And shopped a lot, too. Our walk on the Highline has been one of my favorites – as usual – there’s something special about being above the traffic.

We have also taken the Staten Island Ferry, been to see Chicago on Broadway and eaten a lot of delicious food! On Friday, I set a new record, I walked over 30’000 steps!

  5. oy!!!! What a great group of books you have here. I love Eve Langlais, she does some fun humor in her books and I need to read her gator books. I think its great you and your hubby are spending some good quality time together and NYC is a great place to do that. I do think more couples should do what you are doing, its definitely needed. Hope you enjoy the rest of your time there.

  6. How awesome that you are on a trip to NYC with your husband. It sounds great and it’s definitely necessary to get away and enjoy time together without all the ‘normal’ life stuff. I really want to go to NYC someday!
Looks like you have some good new reads! Have a great week 😉

  7. I’m glad you’re enjoying NYC and hope you’re not missing Freddy too much! How lovely to get away alone and I hope you continue to have a wonderful time. Guess it’s a poignant time to be there too… Sept 11.

Sting is the only one of your books that looks familiar this week so I hope you enjoy it!

  8. SOOOO CLOSE!!! 🙂 I really wanted to get to see you this weekend but we had some family issues with Ryan and I need to monitor him this weekend. Maybe next time you are in the area we can plan something earlier. 🙂

  9. I’m going to have to make time for Kate Meader! And more Tiffany Reisz, of course. 😉 I’m so happy you and Mr. Lex are getting to enjoy some couple time to recharge and reignite – remember all the reasons you are a couple! *waggles eyebrows* And NYC is a beautiful place to spend that time. I can’t wait to hear all about it. 🙂 And I’m wondering if Freddy will be happy when mom and dad get home!
*Smooches* and *BIG HUGS*, wife!! <3

  10. Glad you are enjoying NYC!! I started Red Queen a couple of weeks ago but it felt too much like a mishmash of several popular dystopian books and I just couldn’t get into it. It was SO much like the hunger games that I struggled to remember that it was a different book!
Enjoy the rest of your vacation in NYC and safe travels!
