Bought, Bagged and Wrapping it Up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews, Talk Supe and Caffeinated Reviewer.
STS #151 – Bought Borrowed & Bagged #101
Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about the latest additions to your library – virtual or actual, with books that are bought, borrowed, won or ARCs you will be reading soon. Bought Borrowed and Bagged is a homage to to Barron’s Books and Baubles from KMM’ Fever series, and is hosted by Braine over at Talk Supe. Without further ado, here’s what I bought, borrowed or bagged this past week:
Thank you HQN Books, Loveswept and NetGalley!
Thank you William Morrow, Margaret M. McElderry Books and Edelweiss!
Thank you, Michelle Mankin!!
A little while ago, Colleen Hoover had a signed book sale on her website, and it was impossible for me to resist – so I purchased ALL her paperbacks for my physical shelf. Even if I already own her books in kindle version and most of them in audio as well… what can I say? I’m a HUGE fan.
The Sunday Post #101 – Wrapping it Up
Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
We arrived home from NYC on Monday morning, and we were not all that jet-lagged for once. It was, of course, nice to be back home, see the kids and Freddy again, and sleep in our own bed! We had a fantastic time during our romantic getaway, though, and we decided we want to try to make it a yearly thing to go away just the two of us in September.
I finally got a call from a school this week, and will have a few hours of substitute teaching next week. Which is really good, because I was starting to go crazy here, with nothing to do but trying to write my Master’s paper. I’m not completely ready to start writing yet, stuff need to mature in my head a bit more first. I’ve been in touch with my professor, though, and she’s happy with what I’ve started doing.
My oldest daughter has been doing yoga for a little over a year, and this week, I went with her. It felt SO good, so I’m all signed up for yoga class once per week now 🙂
This week’s Freddy in action:
- [15 Sep] Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #82 – Her Halloween Treat
- [17 Sep] Bought Bagged and Wrapping it Up #151
- [22 Sep] Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #83 – Tempting Tempo
- [24 Sep] Bought Bagged and Wrapping it Up #152

Glad you guys had a great trip! And it’s always nice to be home to afterward. Congrats on the subbing.
Freddy looks seriously comfortable. 🙂
Signed book sales are nice- I love collecting favorite authors!
It is nice to be back home 🙂 I love collecting favorite authors’ books for my shelves, too 🙂

nice collection of her books there!
Thanks Ailyn 🙂
Safely home after having a good time is nice. Sounds good about the subbing job and that your paper is pleasing your professor.
Wow, I just want to run my fingers along your CoHo shelf of books. 😉 Looks like you got some other good ones for purchase and review. Seeing the Tara Lain reminds me that I have a few of hers on my shelf needing my attention.
Have fun at yoga and have a good week!
You’re right, Sophia Rose 🙂
I do run my fingers along my CoHo shelf, so beautiful 🙂 Tara Lain is awesome! I hope you’ll be able to pick up and read one of her books this week 🙂

Red Leaves looks so interesting! And EH has a new book?! I need to check it out ASAP! I didn’t know CoHo had a sale. I would have gotten her older books that I’m missing. Good luck at Yoga! And OMG Freddy somehow looks bigger!
It does, right? And can you believe I haven’t read any other books from EH? The summary just drew me in on this one 🙂
Freddy has gotten a bit bigger… he’s almost at his full size, now 🙂
This haul looks great – happy reading and hope you enjoy all of them. I fell in love with the cover of Seven Black Diamonds and it went straight to my wishlist, so thanks for sharing it.
Have a fantastic weekend and a great new week afterwards.
here is my STS/BBB
best wishes
Vi @ Gone With The Books
I don’t understand why I didn’t have Seven Black Diamonds already, Vi, it’s been out for a while, and I’m a fan 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
That is a pretty impressive CoHo collection! I gave away my November 9 and I don’t know if I’ll keep It ends with us lol. It’s good you’ve got more time to do some teaching! Yoga is awesome, I hope you enjoy it! Love the photos of Freddy. Thank you for sharing my post!
I’m such a fan of CoHo I wanted even those books that weren’t among my favorites for the release year, Jeann.
Yoga is great, but I have put on some weight around my waist-line, so some of the poses were really hard to do 🙁 I need to work out more so I can get rid of that extra weight, so that yoga will be a bit easer 🙂

Glad you had a great time in NYC! It’s always nice to get back home to your own bed. 🙂 I can see you going stir crazy with just a paper to write and nothing else to do. You seem like someone who likes to be doing things, so glad you got a sub job for a bit. 🙂 Love the Freddy pics as always!!
Also you got a great haul and I am curious about Red Leaves. 🙂
Have a great weekend!
Stormi
Definitely nice to come back home to our own bed! It’s so comfy 🙂
I am someone who likes to be rather busy, so having less to do makes me a bit lethargic, where I don’t want to do much at all 🙁
*hugs*

I remember that Colleen Hoover sale and was tempted! I couldn’t afford it really through, since school has cost so much the past year and half. Hoping that will start to change this year.
Glad y’all had a good time – a yearly romantic getaway sounds awesome. I plan to start yoga once a week next month! I used to do it and loved it, despite sucking lol, so I can’t wait. Id start sooner but once again… Broke! Have a great weekend 🙂 Hugs!
School shouldn’t really cost you any money, Berls – it makes me sad to know that it does! I hope it will change, too! That you’ll have everything you need moving forward.
A yearly romantic getaway would be made of awesome 🙂 I suck at yoga big time, but it made me feel really good, so I’ll stick with it!
OOh nice! These are pretty much new to me reads! Except for Seven Black Diamonds! Which I still need to read as well! LOL!
Glad your trip went well! And yay for the sub job! That’ll be fun to get out the house and whatnot! Hope all continues to go well with your Masters!
Happy Reading!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
I have no idea how I missed Seven Black Diamonds when it was released, Jessica 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!
I got On Second Thought too! I enjoyed The Goldfinch and hope you do too. Glad you guys had a good time on your trip. Love the Freddy pics!!! Thanks for sharing my post 🙂 Have a great week!!

Next time you are in the area we are for sure getting together! I can’t believe you were so close and I couldn’t come see you. That first night in your own bed is always the best feeling. 🙂
I love Freddy! Give him a squeeze for me!
Have a great week my beautiful friend! Happy Reading! Miss YOUR FACE!!! oxoxoxoxo
*waves to Freddy* This week has been non stop DIY with furniture moving and painting. Not much fun and I still have more to do. Ugh! These are the days you wish you had Harry Potter’s magic wand!
Would you believe that I’ve STILL never read a Colleen Hoover book?! What am I waiting for, seriously?! lol. I am the same way, if I read a book on my Kindle and loved it I have to run out and by a physical copy.
This week was kinda meh for me, to be honest! I think I’m in a LIFE funk.
I haven’t read many of CoHo’s books I know so many love them! They are rather nice all though all together like that!
Awesome haul of books. i love Kristen Higgins. Looks like Freddie enjoys your coach. I hope you love Yoga and your new books.
Grace @ Books of Love
Oh, the shelf of CH books looks very tempting. Most of mine are on my Kindle, but I do have a print version of Confess.
Enjoy your week, and thanks for sharing. Hello to Freddy!
The Goldfinch is a really amazing book. It changes direction several times, but that is what makes it interesting. Congrats on getting a weekend away. They can really be a great way to rejuvenate. Have a fun week of subbing!
Glad to hear you had fun in NYC. That’s great you want to go away with your husband every September now. I hope that tradition will hold for you. 🙂 Yay for doing some substituting teaching!

I am glad you all had a great time in New York and got home safe. I also loved seeing the pictures of Freddy! I own Outside by Michelle Mankin but the rest I don’t have. I did just buy It Ends with Us on eBook and of course I have most of hers on eBook(one on audio). I love Hoover’s books too! Hope the teaching works out well and that you have a good week!
The Colleen Hoover books are so gorgeous! ♥ *GOALS*
I want to get back into yoga too Lexxie. I used to go and then gained weight and felt uncomfortable, but I’m ready to head back there now / soon.
I’m glad you made it home safely but it’s good you got a little bit of work if you’re starting to feel bored. Hopefully there’s a good balance so you still have time for everything else in your busy life!
Aww Freddy is seriously TOO cute!! I’m glad you had a nice time on your trip, that’s really a sweet thing to be able to do 😀 And wow, that is a lot of Colleen Hoover! It’s great that you were able to get them all signed too, especially since she’s a favorite for you! The You I’ve Never Known sounds really interesting, too! Hope you love the new books, and that you have a fabulous week!
That’s great to hear that you enjoyed your vacation! And that sounds like a great idea to make a yearly getaway 🙂 And Freddy is still as cute as ever. Yoga just isn’t for me, but I’m glad you enjoyed it! Have a wonderful week.
I was also intrigued to see The Goldfinch there… It’s on my list of Books To Get, recommended by a couple of my students. Hope you enjoy all your new additions. It’s always lovely to get away – and I think it’s a great idea to make it regular thing. Hope you enjoy the teaching – I tried substitute teaching for a while, but I simply hated it. I hadn’t realised just how very territorial I’d been about my own classroom until I didn’t have one! Have a great reading week. This is my Sunday Post

Good to hear your trip to NYC was a success. And yay for making a yearly thing. I think that sounds like a great idea!! 😉
I’ve done Yoga for a little while last year.. Unfortunately I couldn’t make it work with my work schedule. But it’s definitely great right?!
I’ve started collecting my Holiday read for this year. I’ve been requesting some books that sound great.
Have a great week and Happy Reading!
Freddy looks so comfortable! Glad you enjoyed your trip! Yay for subbing to keep you from going stir crazy.
I could never get into yoga. I think I get bored too easily or something! Glad you were able to enjoy it so much.
Have a great week!
Freddy is adorable! <3

Glad the travels went well and you picked up some sub gig. Yoga is nice, I usually feel refreshed when I do it..well when I can turn off my mind…lol Have a wonderful week Lexxie.
What a great annual trip to do! I would probably be going crazy, too. I hope your writing starts coming along. I want to try yoga, but I have zero time to do anything.
I have yet to read Colleen Hoover ? I know, I’m a terrible book blogger. One of these days I will. I’ve got several of her books on my Kindle just too many review copies that need attention first. Hope you have a great week Lexxie!
Some interesting books there and they’re new to me so I hope you’ll enjoy them! happy reading!
Woooooaaahhh, you cleaned up, with the Hoover books! Sales are always fun, and hey, you got the full set it looks like, so that’s neat. 😀 I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
Have a fabulous week, Lexxie. 🙂
Check out my STS post!

That’s great that you’ll get some hours in at work this week. Do you enjoy substitute teaching? My mom didn’t like it very much, but I know people who really love being able to control their hours.

Yoga does sound like a great idea right now! I bet the trip to NYC was so fun, you just missed all the chaos that is happening today with bombs found in NYC. I am glad to hear you are home safe and sound.
Freddy is so cute! He always steals the show in these posts. Have a great week and enjoy your new Yoga class!
I’m so happy you two had a wonderful getaway. I bet little Freddy got all wiggly when he saw you again. LOL
Awesome week you had! Glad you had a great time on your vacation! I’m also doing some yoga and it’s really helping me out with my stress from work!

Glad you had a good trip. Yay! for no jet lag too. 🙂 Hope you have a great week.
How nice for you to have a getaway vacation in my neck of the woods! Hope NYC was kind to you while you were here. 🙂 I love yoga and need to get back into doing it regularly.
I love that you have all CoHo books and they are signed. I only have one signed book and it’s by an another I’ve never read. Eek!
Wife, I think you might be spending too much time at Netgalley and Edelweiss. 😉
I don’t begrudge you buying CoHo’s books in paperback though. I too have almost all of her books (maybe all?) in paperback and on ereader. But not all in audio. Hmm, I’ll have to catch up with you. 😉
I’m so happy you and Mr. Lex enjoyed your romantic getaway – and NYC is a perfect locale to enjoy. *sigh*
I hope you’ll have a fantastic week, my dear! And read lots and lots of good books!! *BIG HUGS* <3
