COYER Summer 2017
Can you believe it’s almost time for summer COYER? I’m so happy the school year is slowly moving towards its end, and I can’t wait to just be lazy, read all the books and have fun. As usual, we have three amazing hostesses for the Clean Out Your E-Reader challenge, Michelle @ Because Reading is Better than Real Life, Stormi @ Books, Movies, Reviews! Oh My! and Berls @ Fantasy is More Fun. The official sign-up post is over at the COYER web-site.
For this year’s summer challenge, we have two possibilities when it comes to the challenge. One is just a normal COYER, but with no rules. Yes, you heard that correctly, Michelle must have been in a really good mood, what with snow in May and all, so we can read any and all books we have acquired legally for the normal COYER challenge.
Then, there is the Summer Reading Challenge, where we need to make a list of books we want to read this summer. Of course, you can find all the rules in the hostesses posts linked to above.
I am going to go with normal COYER, and I’m not even going to set a goal. I have had a very stressful semester, and I just want to read whatever I feel like, then review it and get on to the next book.
Are you participating this year? It’s really a lot of fun, and I have met some of my best blogger friends thanks to COYER. There’s a Facebook group where there are daily shenanigans, there will be Twitter parties, and in August we’ll also have an Instagram challenge.
What are you waiting for? Come on and join us for COYER and a whole summer of fun, books and friendships.

I have wine so that helps 😉
Glad you are joining! That is why I did it with both types of COYER. The reading list is easy but I figured some might want to just read. Berls really did a number on us for winter so I went opposite for summer. Winter, however, all bets are off! 😉 I think I like the rotation of Strict in the Winter, Relaxed in the Summer.
I think it’s nice to have the strict, back to basics COYER in the winter, too, Michelle. That’s what got me into doing this challenge in the first place – reading those e-ARCs, freebies and cheap books that had been collected for my kindle 😉
I’m definitely in, but trying to decide if I want to try for the list or just go with what I feel like picking up off the stack.
You can do both, I think – the best of both worlds?
That’s what I ended up deciding on, Lexxie. 🙂 I have a planned list, but if I go off the plan to other books then that is okay, too. 🙂
That sounds like a great plan!
Ooh summer COYER is here? Yay!
Yes, it is!
Ok, I’m gonna go for it! Thanks for introducing me to this AWESOME challenge!!!
WooHoo! I hope you’ll have as much fun with COYER as I always have, Trisy!
I’m so excited about this one! I am going to do the Summer Reading Challenge. I made my list based off of books I have had sitting on my kindle forever. I figure from that list, there is a wide range so I can still pick off of ‘mood’.
That’s awesome, Samantha. I just can’t make myself read off a list this next summer, I think. I need freedom!
I’ve just read the COYER Challenge – it looks great fun, but if all goes to plan this summer (fingers crossed…) my reading will be falling off massively as I get stuck into editing and novel writing. However, I shall be following everyone’s progress with great interest and hope you have a great time:). My Sunday Post – https://sjhigbee.wordpress.com/2017/05/21/sunday-post-21st-may-2017/
Then, I hope you won’t have time for COYER! How exciting that you’ll be editing and writing instead.
