Feature and Follow #11

Posted 7 September, 2012 by Linda @ (un)Conventional Bookworms in Feature and Follow / 0 Comments

YAY it’s Friday! Welcome to my Feature and Follow number 11, and the second on my transformed blog – I have switched from Blogger to WordPress – you like? If you used to follow me – especially GFC followers –  I’d love it if you could please follow me again, in a different way, as I will be archiving my blogger blog in a little while, and then I’ll only be using this – but my wonderful followers *sigh* will hopefully make the switch with me 😀

Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

trans Feature & Follow #111

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is that they Feature. Each week they will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is their Feature today? Fantasy Book Chick and Books With Bite. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow their Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to WordPress, just like I just did myself, in which we do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription, I also have linky follow if that is more convenient for you. As you can imagine, this is a great way to get to know your fellow bloggers better, as well as a way to find new blogs, and be seen by more people yourself.

This week’s question is :

What book(s) are you reading now? How do you like them?

I just finished reading The Lost Prince by Julie Kagawa, and I loved it! I am not allowed to post my review yet, but it should be up towards the end of September. I am now just about to start ‘Archangel’s Storm’ by Nalini Singh – I love the Guild Hunter seires 🙂

If you are a new follower to my blog, please let me know so that I can make sure to follow you back. I have no preferred way of following for the moment, just choose what is best for you, you can choose between RSS, e-mail or linky if you don’t use WordPress. Have a fabulous Friday and a wonderful weekend!

    • The Lost Prince absolutely hit me right! I love fairies, and I think that JK is able to write about faeries in a way that’s very different from others. Originality always gets points 🙂

  3. The Lost Prince looks so good; it’s on my TBR list, but I’ve got to finish up The Iron Fey series first. And I’ve heard a lot of great things about Nalini Singh’s books; I’ve got to check them out one day.

Old GFC follower, now following you on Linky. 🙂

    • Oh yes, you should definitely read the Iron Fey series first! If not there would just be too many things to try to understand. Kagawa has her very own take on faeries.

  5. Ohh so I have to admit that I don’t like The Iron Fey series :/ BUT only because I really don’t like faeries! I think I would love Julie Kagawa’s other series The Immortal Rules though, that’s in my TBR pile atm and I cant’ wait to get to it!

I’ve heard TLP is pretty awesome though. There are so many people raving about it which is cool!

    • Thanks for stopping by to comment and follow. Well, if you don’t really like faeries, you probably wouldn’t like the Iron Fey series! And that’s OK. I haven’t read The Immortal Rules series yet, but it’s on my TBR pile as well .

  7. Yeah! I really loved the lost prince as well, I was a little anxious after so many books, but it was good!

I don’t participate this time but I have many giveaways here if you’re interested for our first year on the blog.

  9. Yet ANOTHER series I need to start. I always feel so far behind when I join these memes 🙂 But it’s good too because I never run out of books to read!

  11. I tried to read The Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa, and just could not get into it. I feel bad about that because I know they are well-loved. Maybe fey books just aren’t for me.

    • Archangel’s Storm is already out, and I had it on pre-order for my kindle, so you don’t have to wait for that… The Lost Prince is excellent, I loved it!
Thanks for the comment. Have a great weekend.

  13. I just waiting for Archangel’s Storm to arrive. I really hope it’s good. Lately I feel that Nalini Singh books have started to become a little repetitive. Old follower 🙂

  15. Sounds great– I really liked the three books in the Iron Fey series, but haven’t managed to get an ARC of the Lost Prince. Can’t wait to read your review! Oh, and new email follower– thanks for following me as well. 🙂
