Feature and Follow #35

YAY it’s Friday!

Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature and Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

The Feature and Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Rachel of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to meet more new bloggers!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is that our hosts feature two blogs. Every week they will each showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow both their featured as well as our lovely hosts as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. I prefer being followed via Linky or Google+; or you can like my facebook page. If you prefer e-mail or RSS, that’s good as well. I have been able to add GFC back on my blog, even if I’m still on WordPress YAY!

This week’s question is:

What is a book your friends loved, but you really didn’t like?

It’s been a while since this happened, but most of my friends really like(d) the Hush, Hush series, and I just can’t stand it! At all. I don’t like the characters, I don’t like the pacing, I think the plot is full of holes, and the story is boring…

What about you? is there a book your friends loved, but you didn’t?

Thanks for stopping by and joining in the Feature and Follow fun! Have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend.

    • Hush, Hush is a book so many people love, I almost felt strange for not liking it at all.

Thanks for stopping by Summer 🙂

    • Thanks for stopping by Brandee 🙂 You might very well like it a lot! I look forward to seeing your review.

I haven’t read the Night Circus yet.

      Have a wonderful weekend.

  1. I haven’t tried out Hush, Hush yet, TBH I haven’t even heard of it until now. Guess I have been living under a rock.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I am now a follower of the unconventional book views. 🙂

    • I don’t know that this series is exactly famous, but I have quite a few friends who read and loved it, and I just didn’t.

      Thanks for following back 🙂

    • I don’t remember which book I stopped at, I was really trying, too.

Thanks for the comment and the follow, Maria 🙂

  3. Ali

I have heard so many mixed feelings with the Hush Hush series. I’m almost scared to try it. 😉

    • You shouldn’t be scared, and I think that it’s always worth it to try a book. Think about how sad it would be to wait a long time to read it, and love it a lot.

      Thanks for stopping by Ali.

    • And here I thought I was kind of an exception… I guess maybe there are a lot of people not liking this series, but my friends loved it.

Thanks for stopping by to comment and follow.

      Have a wonderful weekend!

    • Alison, I need to look through all my documents and everything so I can do a tutorial. And it only started working after I did a re-direct from my Blogger.

You need the GFC id number for your blog, and I think you need to find that before doing a re-direct.

    • You should definitely make up your own mind!
Thanks for the comment and the follow 🙂
      Have a wonderful weekend.

  4. Jessica@a GREAT read

That was one I actually enjoyed. Maybe not thoroughly, but still enjoyed. But this is definitely one of those hit or miss kind of books, think it’s about 50/50!

    • I’m glad you enjoyed it, Jessica! It’s always better to read an enjoyable book than one that is less so.

Thanks for stopping by today! Enjoy your weekend, too 🙂

    • Thanks for stopping by Florentine 🙂 Sometimes, it’s even better to read hyped-up books long after the hype has moved on 😉

    • LOL, not everybody hates it, you know! I felt like the odd one out in my circle of book-friends for not liking it. Mayb you’ll be the opposite? The one liking it in yours 😀

  6. I haven’t read the Hush, Hush series yet. Many of my friends liked the first book but hated the rest of the series. So, I’m not all that eager to read it. I probably will some time, but I’ll read other things first.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

    • I actually read three books in the series before I decided I had to give up. I think it’s always good to check out books, apart from if several reviews point out something that I know is something that will make me not like it.

      Enjoy your weekend!

    • That’s so funny/strange! Apart from some other people I’ve seen on Goodreads, and maybe a couple of blogs, my friends really loved Hush, Hush, and thought Patch is the ultimate bad boy.

Thanks for stopping by Micheline 🙂 It’s always nice to get a little visit from you!

    • Thanks for stopping by Cerian 🙂 It’s nice to meet you. It’s OK if you still like it, I’m so glad we can all have different opinions about different books – it makes it a lot more interesting to discuss those books 😉

      Have a wonderful week!

  7. It’s been since the first one came out, but I wasn’t sucked into it. I didn’t really care much about the characters in the end to be grasping for the rest for the rest of the series. I liked it, but didn’t love it. 😉

Thanks for stopping by my FF.

    • Yeah, I think there are more books out in the series that I haven’t read, but I’m not sure I need to know what happens to them in then end…

Thanks for stopping by Brandy 🙂
