Feature and Follow #40

YAY it’s Friday!

Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature and Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

The Feature and Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Rachel of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to meet more new bloggers!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is that our hosts feature two blogs. Every week they will each showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow both their featured as well as our lovely hosts as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your Feature and follow post. I prefer being followed via Linky or Google+; or you can like my facebook page. If you prefer e-mail or RSS, that’s good as well. Although I am on a selfhosted WordPress blog – I have been able to add GFC back on my blog, you can find out how in my tutorial.

Question of the week:

Q: If you could hang out with any author (living) who would it be and what would you want to do?

How can I only choose one? Why do I have to try to only choose one? There are a lot of authors I admire, and whose books I really love, and I would like ot hang out with all of them somewhere nice, maybe in a park in Geneva, and we would have a picnic, with good food and even better wine, and we would chat about books, alternate worlds (both fictional and the possibility of real ones) and just get to know each other better. I know I sometimes feel like I know my favorite authors a little bit – even if that’s not true! But they have no idea I even exist apart from a tweet every now and then letting them know I reviewed their book 😀

What about you? Who is the author you’d like to hang out with, and what would you do?

Thanks for stopping by today, have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend.

  1. Jessica@a GREAT read

Picking one is pretty hard! I decided to go with two of my fave authors from the very beginning of my reading spree! I’ve meet quite a few authors already, so I feel pretty lucky in a lot of ways. There are still several that I’d love to meet though!

    Here’s my Follow Friday

    Have a GREAT weekend!

    Old Follower 🙂

    • I have not met many authors – I met Gayle Forman once, but that was before I had read any of her books, so I had no idea what to say to her. I also met Diana Gabaldon, and she was really nice 🙂 Of course this happened when I was in New York, not many of my favorite authors come all the way to Switzerland…

  3. Picking one is hard! I wanted to go with my fave mystery/historical author, but he reads the blog. I’m pretty sure he’d see the red flags of me crushing on him. LOL! Although the fan letter I sent with the books for him to sign didn’t scare him off, then I guess I’m good. haha

    Have a great weekend! 🙂

    • LOL that’s so funny! You should have done it – even said where you’d like to meet him and all…

      Thanks for stopping by Jessica.

    • Thanks Liesel. There are quite a few authors who are living (and writing!) now that I’d love to meet, so that part wasn’t too difficult.

      Have a wonderful weekend.

  5. I like your ideas that sounds nice. I’m following you back via GFC! 🙂 my blog is http:/wsheam.blogspot.com/

  6. There’s no way that I could only choose one! There are too many out there that I would love to meet. Like you I’ve talked to a few with the occasional tweet and FB posts, but never anyone in person. Hanging out at a park would be fun, a nice picnic, maybe everyone would bring their pets so they could play, lots and lots of talk!

      I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend.

    • LOL, yes, even that was intentional! That way, they are ALL on my list – but I didn’t have to remember everybody 😛 total cop-out 😉

      Thanks for stopping by Angelica.

  8. This by far the smartest answer ever, yes, gather all the authors! hehe. Thanks for stopping by earlier. I am an old follower. 🙂
