Feature and Follow #43
YAY it’s Friday!
Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature and Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.
The Feature and Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Rachel of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to meet more new bloggers!
What sets this Hop apart from others, is that our hosts feature two blogs. Every week they will each showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow both their featured as well as our lovely hosts as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your Feature and follow post. I prefer being followed via Bloglovin’ Linky or Google+; or you can like my facebook page. If you prefer e-mail or RSS, that’s good as well.
This week’s question:
Happy Mother’s Day! Who is your favorite fictional mom?
This was a difficult question (again). I just discussed fictional moms in one of my reviews, because in most of the books I read, they are absent, or just not really caring what their fictional children are up to. So I’ll have to go with Raine’s mom in Runes. She was awesome, present, understanding, listening to her daughter and always giving good advice.
What about you? Who is your favorite fictional mom?
Thanks for stopping by, have a fabulous Friday and a wonderful weekend.
I don’t pay attention to moms either. That’s why in my blog post I pretty much said “Uhh… here are others!” lol.
Love the blog!
LOL Julianna 🙂 that’s just how it is! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

I haven’t read Runes, but I may check it out because you are right about there being a lack of good moms in fiction nowadays. Old follower.
Happy Friday!
I know that there are times when the plot needs no parents around to make sure it can move forwards, but still, this total lack of parents is quite disconcerting as well.
Thanks for stopping by, Jennifer.

Lexxie, I totally agree with you with the lack of Mum presence in books.
My Follow Friday
Have a great weekend!
Thanks so much for stopping by, Angelica 🙂
This one was tough for me too! I went with a stepmom. I’ve decided there simply isn’t enough mom love in fiction. Did you see that Jaclyn put the themes for the rest of the Sidekick Saturdays for the month of May on her FB page? Fiery for tomorrow if I read it right. Don’t go off me, I’m extra scattered right now. Happy Friday!!
I need to check out your post to see which stepmom you went with!
And thanks for the heads up about the Sidekick Saturdays. I usually need a little time to come up with something good for that 🙂
Thanks for stopping by – I hope you had a great weekend.
new follower here via email and bloglovin . Love your site and look forward to your posts.

Thanks for stopping by! I’m already following your blog, and I really love it. So interesting that you’re keeping up with interracial characters in books 🙂
Yeah parents tend to be absent in a lot of books. I get it in adult, but the YA ones? Not so much. I went with the classic and popular choice myself!
Here’s my Follow Friday
Have a GREAT weekend!
Old Follower 🙂
In YA books, it makes me a little sad when there are no parents around… it’s as if the absentee parents is what makes the plot move forward.
Thanks for stopping by Jessica 🙂
YA books usually do lack caring moms. They’re either deceased or not really around to do much parenting. I want to read Runes! 🙂
I hope you’ll like it, Jennifer! It’s quite good, and I look forward to seeing how things unfold in further books in the series 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!
