Feature and Follow #59 – Bookshelftour

YAY it’s Friday! Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature and Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.The Feature and Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Rachel of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to meet more new bloggers!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is that our hosts feature two blogs. Every week they will each showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow both their featured as well as our lovely hosts as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your Feature and follow post. I prefer being followed via e-mail, RSS / Bloglovin’ or Google+; or you can like my facebook page, or even follow me on Twitter.

Give a tour of your bookshelves

Well, I don’t own many physical books anymore, so I’m just going to invite you over to check out my bookshelf on Goodreads, and you can check through my favorites, the genres, the books I have already read and the long, long list of books I hope I will live long enough to be able to read 🙂 And if we aren’t friens on Goodreads already, then don’t be shy to click the ‘add friend’ button while you’re there. I almost forgot to mention Booklikes, which is another great way to keep track of books, make friends and you can even make it look like your own blog!

Thanks for stopping by today 🙂 Have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend!

  1. I was so excited to see your shelves, Lexxie. But I understand you, physical books aren’t really practical especially if space is limited. Almost all the books that I’ve bought this year are all e-books. My mother is giving me the nasty eye every time she sees me bringing home physical books. So to make her happy, I just buy e-books. 😀 At least, I can buy a lot of books without her knowing. 😀 I can’t believe that you’ve read 1539 books already. That’s no mean feat. Lalalala.

    • So sorry about that, Charlotte. Most of my books are playing hide and seek in my kindle, and the physical books I have are dictionaries and linguistics books for class.

      Thanks for stopping by 🙂

  2. Jessica@a GREAT read

See, I have to have my physical books. I like ebooks, but still love my real ones more. I shudder at the day whenever I move out of my family’s home. That’s going to be a LOT of packing for my books alone!

    Here’s my Follow Friday

    Have a GREAT weekend!

    Old Follower 🙂

    • We ran out of room, and the kids didn’t agree that getting rid of their toys was the right way to make more 🙂 And also, since I don’t live in the US, I save so much money by getting e-books, because I don’t have to pay for shipping anymore.

Packing when moving is not fun! And I’ve brought physical books through several moves before I got my first kindle.

Thanks for stopping by Jessica 🙂 Have a great weekend, too!

    • I quite like Booklikes, because it’s kind of in-between a blog and Goodreads. But I still prefer Goodreads 🙂

      Thanks for stoping by Michelle!

  3. Hey Lexxie! I hope you’re doing well – missed you the last couple of day! 😉 I thought about showcasing my shelves on my ereaders – but that’s a whole lot of books! I didn’t think about Goodreads. And as you know I have lots o’books there as well!

I hope the kiddos are settled into the school routine. When do you go back? Happy Friday!! *hugs*

    • I’m dong great, thanks, Brandee 🙂 you, too, I hope? I got a new computer, and the transfer of documents took ages through my internal wireless… and when I tried to log on to my blog via my iPad, I got my password wrong and locked myself out of it :O So I had to wait until I could bring a laptop to Starbucks to unlock myself 😀

I was feeling lazy, and trying to screen-shoot all my kindle books and others would just have taken too much time 🙂

The kids are able to get up in the morning again, which is really good! I start on the 18th, and I really look forward to it. Happy Friday to you too, my friend. *hugs*

    • Libraries are so awesome! Because you can get all the books you want to read, and still keep some space for other things at home 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by Charleen.

    • I update my Goodreads all the time, it’s such a great way to find even more books I’d like o read. Thanks for stopping by, Brenda.

    • Yeah, a little lazy of me… but taking screen-shots of my kindle just wasn’t to my liking this morning 😀

      Thanks for stopping by Shane.

  4. Goodreads is really what started me on my path to blogging. I’ve always been a reader, but then I discovered Goodreads and joined various groups, met a lot of great people some of whom had blogs, had a lot of great conversations and realized…I could do this! I’m not as active on it now as I was before I started blogging, but I always try to update what I’m reading and post my reviews there too. Have a great weekend Lexxie!

    • It was the same for me, Traci! When I discovered Goodreads, it was as if the world expanded for me! So many other readers, and so many beautiful blogs 🙂

Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a great weekend yourself.
