Feature and Follow #61 – Everyone Read it but Me

YAY it’s Friday! Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature and Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.The Feature and Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Rachel of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to meet more new bloggers!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is that our hosts feature two blogs. Every week they will each showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow both their featured as well as our lovely hosts as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your Feature and follow post. I prefer being followed via e-mail, RSS / Bloglovin’ or Google+; or you can like my facebook page, or even follow me on Twitter.

What book (or TV show or movie) have you not read that seemingly everyone else has?

That’s really easy! And please don’t get mad at me – I do own all the books, promise. I haven’t read any of the Harry Potter books yet. *ducks head and looks embarrassed* Yeah I know, it’s something everbody read but me, and I don’t really have an explanation as to why I haven’t read it yet. When the books first were released, I wasn’t back into reading a lot and I read maybe one or two books per year. When I did start reading, I first thought that HP was for younger readers than me – but now, I know better. Any book can be for any reader, and I read all genres and most age-groups now, depending on my mood.

What about you? What is your dirty secret, the one where you think that everyone read it but me? Please leave me a link to your feature and follow post in the comments so I can visit you back, and if you’re a new follower, let me know as well so I can return the favor.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend.

  1. I was a late comer to HP, but I did read it and like it. So I am sure once you read the first one you will have them all read within two weeks…lol.

I have never read any of the Anita Blake series, but I have seen it everywhere.

      Thanks for sotpping by Robyn.

It is alright if you havnt read H.P yet. I did not start to read them until the last book came out (i have a thing about having all the books in a series first) so you are okay!

    Check out my FF

  3. Jessica@a GREAT read

    I won’t hit you! 🙂

Not every read is for everyone. Something I’ve learned over the years. I loved Harry Potter though. I think I was in 6th grade when the first one came out because our teacher would read it to us for a bit before starting class. It was interesting. I actually paid attention and I think it was that Christmas my grandma bought it for me…if I am remembering correctly since it was soooo long ago!

So then yeah, had to buy the next two which I think were out at the time. Then from that point it was all about waiting til the next one!

    Here’s my Follow Friday

    Have a GREAT weekend!

    Old Follower 🙂

    • I think I’ll enjoye HP, it’s the kind of universe I like to read about, there’s magic, excitement and growing up 🙂 I just haven’t been able to get to those yet… so many new and exciting books keep being released.

Thanks for stopping by Jessica 🙂

  4. I didn’t start reading HP until right before the first movie was coming out because like you, I thought it was for much younger readers. The movie looked so good, so I thought what the heck and picked up the first one and was hooked immediately. Stop by my FF when you have a chance. Have a great weekend Lexxie!

    • I’m sure I’ll love the books… I have even gotten the French versions for my kids, and I hope I’ll be able to start it at the same time as them.

      Thanks for stopping by Liesel.

  5. LOL I can’t believe you owned up to that one, Lexxie! 😉 I’m just kidding… As we both know, there are so, so, so many wonderful books out there and it’s very hard to make time for them all. But we’re doing our best, aren’t we?!? 😉

Happy Friday, my friend! I hope you have a fabulous day! I’m sitting here watching it snow…

    • LOL I know, right? There are just too many books, and too little time!

Thanks for stopping by, Brandee. I can’t believe it’s already snowing in Colorado! Did you have time to see the leaves change colors?

      Have a great weekend. *hugs*

    • Yes, that is a very good thing. I’m not the most patient reader when it comes to series, and I always appreciate it when I can stay for several books in the same world 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by Alison!

    • I want to read them, but I haven’t gotten to it yet. And you have nothing to be sorry for, we all have different tastes in books 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by Shane!

  6. Hehehe 😀 Zane is reading through them for the first time right now. He’s on book 4 and loving them! He watched all the movies first and adored them, but he thinks the books are better. It’s my favorite series, but you know, you read a series when it’s calling you and this one obviously hasn’t said your name just yet. I hope you’re having a fantastic weekend!!
