It’s Monday! What are you Reading?

Welcome to It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? This meme hosted by Sheila @ Book Journey and I, too think it is great to start the week with what I’m reading right this minute, and what I’ll be reading (or planning on reading, anyway) for the rest of the week.

Please visit Sheila’s blog to sign up on her linky, and just know that every week, a lucky winner is drawn from the bloggers or posters (no need to even have a blog) who comment on at least ten posts in the It’s Monday meme. The winner gets a $5 Amazon gift card. How awesome is that?

Last week, I read and reviewed Surrender by Rhiannon Paille, and The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa. I had planned on a third book, but I coulnd’t resist starting The Eternity Cure, also by Julie Kagawa. So far I really, really love it!

For this week, I am also planning on reading three books :

one night with a cowboyOne Night with a Cowboy by Cat Jonson (that I also had on my list last week – but left aside for the 2nd book in the Blood of Eden series) This is a book that Netgalley sent me an e-ARC of, and I look forward to it a lot. I need something hot and steamy after the grit and dystopia of The Eternity Cure. One Night with a Cowboy is the kind of book where two unlikely people meet, have a fling and think that’s it… but fate decides differently.

The Demon Lover (un)Conventional BookviewsDemon Lover by Juliet Dark is another ARC I’ve been lucky enough to receive from Netgalley, and I am pretty intrigued by it. A young woman far from her home starts having very vivid, erotic dreams, where a mist enters her room and takes on the shape of a virile and handsome man.

girls' night out (un)Conventional BookviewsGirls’ Night Out is a novella in the Faeriwalker series by Jenna Black. As I love this series, I’m thinking this is something to help me survive, since there might not be any more full novels in this series. I really liked this different take on faeries, and Dana, the main character, is really fun to follow. At the same time, she’s strong-minded, and learns how to fight very quickly!

What about you? What are you reading this week? Did you enjoy the last week’s reads? Thanks for stopping by – have a fantastic week!

    • Some weeks are just not made for reading, I guess, Marie 🙁 I hope this week will be better!

      Thanks for stopping by 🙂

  1. I just finished reading The Nightmare Affair by Mindee Arnett and I liked it, it was a quick read. I am trying to fumble through The Murmurring by Carly Ann West another YA book but it’s sucking the life out of me…lol. Very slow paced read but curiousity has me sticking out to the end. I just started The Spinster’s Secret and so far its good.

    Up Next might be:
The Demon’s Daughter by Paula Altenburg or Lord of Secrets by Alyssa Everett

Looking forward to hear what you think of the second book in the Blood of Eden series. Happy Reading!

    • Slow paced can be almost painful some times… I hope The Murmurring will be worth it in the end!

The Spinster’s Secret is on my TBR as well, I can’t wait to see what you think of it!

Thanks for stopping by Stormi 🙂 (ps – I LOVED The Eternity Cure!!!)

  3. I got Demon Lover awhile back too but I haven’t gotten around to it yet. I’ll be looking out for your thoughts on it!! I’ll have to check out that Faeriwalker series, it sounds good 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

I just finished The Nightmare Affair. Review will be up as soon as Goodreads comes back online o.O I’m currently reading Pure (Covenant Series #2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout AND I just started reading The Holders.

    • I want to read what you thought of The Nightmare Affair! Hopefully, Goodreads will be back up soon. I have never seen them be completely down for such a long time!

The Faeriewalker series is a lot of fun!

I have several JLA books on my shelf as well, I need to get to those.

    • If you like fairies, the Faeriwalker series is really good, and a little different from other series. It’s YA, and the characters are very attaching!

      Thanks for stopping by Tanya.
