It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?
Welcome to It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? This is a meme hosted by Sheila @ Book Journey; and I think it is great to start the week with what I’m reading right this minute, and what I’ll be reading (or planning on reading, anyway) for the rest of the week.
Please visit Sheila’s blog to sign up on her linky, that way you will have other Monday bloggers coming to visit you as well.
Last week, I read the following books:
Crash Into You (Pushing the Limits #3) by Katie McGarry. This NA series is awesome, and Crash Into You exceeded my expectations – I loved it! ★★★★★
Take Me Home for Christmas (Whiskey Creek #5) by Brenda Novak. I love this series, and the romance and friendships continued to be enjoyable in this new installment. ★★★★☆
Life in Outer Space by Melissa Keil is a brilliant coming of age YA novel! And it takes place in Australia! And the main characters are beautifully geeky nerds! ★★★★★
Getting Rowdy (Love Undercover #3) by Lori Foster. Contemporary romance, with suspense and mystery, I loved the characters and will be reading more in this series very soon. ★★★★★
Christmas at Cardwell Ranch (Cardwell Ranch #4) by B. J. Daniels. Suspense-filled contemporary romance. Insta-love took one star off. ★★★☆☆
Snowbound with the CEO by Shannon Stacey is a very sweet contemporary romance, taking place just before Christmas. The characters were great, and the tension palpable. ★★★★☆
Right now, I’m reading
Just One Year (Just One Day #2) by Gayle Forman. I have been waiting for this book for a long time, and I really look forward to knowing what Willem has been up to!
And next up, I’m planning on reading:
All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill, which is a YA story with time travel in. And I love time travel!
Searching for Someday by Jennifer Probst is a romance that is dubbed as being “fresh, fun and sexy” what more can I ask for in a contemporary romance novel, right?
Here’s what happened on (un)Conventional Bookviews this past week:
Review: Frost Burned (Mercy Thompson #7) – Patricia Briggs
Review: Friends to Lovers (Aisle Bound #3) – Christi Barth
Review: The Next Best Thing – Kristan Higgins
Feature and Follow #62 – My Featured Blogger
Sidekick Showcase #22 – Night Terror

I hope you like All Our Yesterdays more than I did, I thought it was to confusing. 🙁 I can’t wait to see your review!
I am reading The Investigator by Terry Letzner. It’s a memoir of an a top investigator. I find these type of memoirs interesting..only type of non-fiction I read..lol.
Also going to read A Holiday Miracle in Apple Blossom by June McCrary Jacobs (love me some Christmas reads!!) 🙂
Happy Reading!
Oh, I’ve read several Christmas romances lately, I love those as well!
I am curious about your review for The Investigator, it’s probably a kind of non-fiction I could enjoy as well.
Thanks for stopping by 🙂 Have a great week, and happy reading.
I loved All Our Yesterdays, hope you are enjoying it so far! I’m about to finish Of Poseidon, it’s painful lol. After, I might pick up Two Boys Kissing from everyone raving about it 🙂
I haven’t started All Our Yesterdays yet, but I hope I’ll enjoy it to.
I don’t think I have Of Poseidon, I need to check out your review once you’ve finished. Two Boys Kissing must find its way to my TBR as well 🙂
Thanks for stopping by Jeann!
Wow! Lots of reads there! Hope you enjoy this week’s selections!
Here’s my Monday Wrapup
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Yeah, I did get a lot of reading in last week – which made it a very happy week 😉
Thanks for stopping by Jessica.
I loved Take Me Home For Christmas. I’ve always felt sorry for Sophia and the way she was treated by the group so it was nice to see her get her own story.
I can’t wait to read Crash Into You. I have a review copy and hope to get to it soon. I need to read All Our Yesterdays for review too. I’ve heard good things about it so far.
I agree, Sophia really needed her own book, and I enjoyed it a lot! Crash Into You is awesome! I hope you’ll love it, too.
Thanks for stopping by Christina 🙂
Love seeing so many people love Crash Into You.
It’s so awesome, it’s impossible (for me) not to love it 🙂
Thanks for stopping by Jennifer.
Tumtum & Nutmeg: Adventures Beyond Nutmouse Hall (Three complete tales in one deluxe volume).
These are really neat stories of a mouse couple and how they take care of Nutmouse Hall ans well as the humans in Rose Cottage and their other mouse friends.
I’m in the middle of the second tale now and am really enjoying the story telling and illustrations. These are novella/chapter book size. The first is 181 pages long, the second 160, and the third 162. The style reminds me of Ralph S. Mouse and The MOuse and The Motorcycle by Beverly Cleary.
Sounds great, Xyra, I’m glad you’re enjoying your current read so much! Hope you had a great weekend, too 🙂 I might be able to stop by chat soon. *hugs*

WOW! You read some really great books last week, Lexxie! And you have some wonderful looking ones up this week. (I love Gayle Forman and she’s in town next week! Yay!) I can’t wait to read your reviews!
Keep your fingers crossed it stays somewhat warm & dry this week. The girls have 2 marching band competitions this week. Oh, and marching band season here is only September thru end of October…it must coincide with football season. 😉
*hugs*
*brr* for the marching band competitions at this time of year! All those playing trumpet, sax etc must freeze their fingers off! But it has to be a lot of fun to watch 🙂
Oh, can you tell Gayle Forman that I love her? I met her once in Brooklyn, at the bookfair there, but I hadn’t read any of her books yet, so I didn’t understand why my NYC friend was so excited :O
Thanks for stopping by, Brande! Have a great week *hugs*
