Review: Golden Son – Pierce Brown

Review: Golden Son – Pierce Brown

I don’t even know where to start! Golden Son is fast-paced awesomeness, danger, brutality, chess-play, intrigues and deadly battles. My Golden Son review: Golden Son starts two years after the end of Red Rising, and it’s obvious from the start that much has happened in Darrow’s life in the meantime. The readers are brought into the midst of the action, on a space-ship where there is either a big victory to be won, or a loss so bad it might be impossible to recover from. The pace is more or less at break-neck speed through-out the story, and that really goes well with the plot and the characters and all that’s at stake in Golden Son. The intrigue in Golden […]

Review: A Sexy Journey – Jasinda Wilder

Review: A Sexy Journey – Jasinda Wilder

Holy hotness! A Sexy Journey is exactly that – very sexy, enticing and hot. My A Sexy Journey review: Delilah has the shock of her life when she comes back home shortly after leaving for work, only to find her husband in bed with the pastor’s wife… A Sexy Journey certainly did start with a bang, as she took of her shoes and threw them at the love-birds before packing all her things and leaving to find her sister to tell her what had happened. Only to receive yet another shock when she realized her sister had an affair with Harry as well. In all her turmoil, she still managed to get her account closed out, and with twenty grand […]

Review: My Billionaire – M.J. Bradley

Review: My Billionaire – M.J. Bradley

My Billionaire review: My Billionaire is one of those stories where not much at all makes sense… Molly was described as being extremely shy, and not at all open about her sexuality. Then, she went to the store to buy eggs for her mom, and followed a mysterious man who said his name was Damien to his office. There, she let him bring her to orgasm while he was essentially belittling her and calling her a slut and a whore. Just after this, at her first evening on her college campus, she was drunk and one guy tried to get in her pants against her will, and another guy saved her. She promptly brought that guy home with her and […]

Review: Five Weeks – Dannika Dark

Review: Five Weeks – Dannika Dark

Bad-ass shifters – and an amazing female MC made Five Weeks an amazing read! My Five Weeks review: Five Weeks includes everything I love in Ms. Dark’s UF universe! There is romance and a lot of tension, characters that seem very real with flaws and qualities, an amazing story and a well-executed plot. The writing is really good, mostly from Izzy’s point of view, first person, in past tense, but with some third person passages as well. It was a true pleasure to get to know Jericho better, he intrigued me quite a bit in both Seven Years and Six Months, with his distant way of interacting with his brothers in the Weston household. Izzy also appealed to me from the […]

Review: The Cowboy Kiss – Kristen James

Review: The Cowboy Kiss – Kristen James

My The Cowboy Kiss review: The Cowboy Kiss is a sweet and very short contemporary romance in which two childhood friends meet up again after six years apart. Cory knows he only has a few days to sweep Autumn off her feet, and apparently, he manages to do so – even if that happened off page. Even in a short story, I think it’s possible to show a little bit more of what the characters are thinking and feeling, and I was not really satisfied when The Cowboy Kiss Ended. The writing is quite good, though, and if you’re in the mood for something very short, The Cowboy Kiss might be just what you need. It was a little bit […]
