Aentee @ I Read At Midnight had this fun Pokemon book tag going last summer, and I knew I wanted to do it as well. I’ve just not found the time to get around to it until now. Which is kind of sad, but also kind of fun, because maybe it will start over again now? With other bloggers doing it now instead of last summer.

Oh my, I think I just have to mention an author who started my love for reading, and that’s Astrid Lindgren! Her children’s books are so amazing, and I bet you have all heard of Pippi Longstocking! There are many others, though, and her characters became my childhood friends, from Emil, Tommy and Annika to Ronja, or the Lionheart Brothers…

Withering Heights, because each time I have read it, I notice something new or different about the characters. There are so many twists and the way the narrator shares what she wants to share always makes me think she’s keeping more than one thing from us.

The Hollows by Kim Harrison!!! There is a new prequel coming out in January next year, and I legit started happy-dancing when I first heard of it.

img_1944

Just like that, I can’t think of a book that reminds me of other books, but I’m sure there are several! Help me out?

img_1943

The Veil by Chloe Neill… I loved the first book in this series, but now, I see The Veil everywhere, and I actually stopped reading. I hope I’ll get back to it later, though.

img_1945

Game of Throne… I own all the books, but I just can’t start them. *scared*

Most of the Outlander books have kept me up at night. Both because I just had to read more, and because I was thinking of Claire and Jamie, dreaming of them, trying to find solutions to their problems.

img_1947

I love Adrian and Sydney in Richelle Mead’s Bloodlines series. I think my favorite is really Kate and Curran, though! Their love always shines, and I love that they also truly respect each other and are so loyal!

img_1948

Ruthless and Rebellious by Gillian Archer! I read both of these in a day and a half. And there is a lot of hotness, a lot of action, and a very fast pace.

The Boys of Summer by Katie Rose. The main male characters are baseball players, and I wasn’t sure that would work for me, as we don’t even have baseball in Europe. it definitely worked, though, and last May, my blogger wife, Brandee, brought me to see a Cubs game in Chicago to honor Boys of Summer 😉

Please don’t throw anything on me, but that would be Harry Potter, which I still haven’t read… I own all the books, and one day I will sit down and do a huge binge-read!

img_1952

That would have to be Titus Andronicus by the Bard himself! I love that play so much, it’s deliciously violent, with gore and very nasty characters. Still, it’s so very well done, and show how short our memories can be when it comes to honor and moral compass.

Miss Treadway and the Field of Stars: A Novel, by Miranda Emmerson. The story is set in 1965 London, during The Moor murders, and it just seems to be exactly my kind of story.

img_1954

I have several of those, actually! JA Huss, Donna Cummings, Michelle Mankin, Nalini Singh, Ilona Andrews, Patricia Briggs, Ashlyn Macnamara, Brenda Novak, Colleen Hoover, KA Tucker and there may be more, even! This was just off the top of my head!

Unholy Luck (Downside Ghosts #6) by Stacia Kane. I’m not even sure it will be released at all now, which makes me very sad! It was first scheduled for release in 2013… and now, there’s still no summary, no release date, no cover 🙁

So that’s it for my Pokémon Go Book Tag! Don’t hesitate if you want to participate yourself! Aentee is OK with us using her designs, and it’s fun and quick to prepare your post 🙂

  1. Fun tag theme! Loved seeing what books you matched up with each Pokemon. There are a couple I’d have to think hard about, but others I have lots of answers. we share many of your auto buy choices and neat that you enjoyed Boys of Summer about the same time you saw your first baseball game.

    • I knew way back this summer I wanted to do this tag, Sophia… I just never got a chance to put it all together until now 🙂
The baseball game was so much fun! And I thought it was telling that Brandee and Denise took me because of that series 🙂

  2. This is so cute. I have several series that I could’ve used for the exact same groups. Game of Thrones (200+ hours of audio), Harry Potter (I’ve read the first book and half and just didn’t really enjoyed them), The Hollows and Downside. Happy New Year
