Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. It is (un)Conventional Bookviews’ policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you across our website, http://unconventionalbookviews.com, and other sites we own and operate.

We only ask for personal information when we truly need it to provide a service to you. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. We also let you know why we’re collecting it and how it will be used.

We only retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide you with your requested service. What data we store, we’ll protect within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

One reason we might keep your e-mail address, contact you by e-mail, or ask for your actual address is if you have won a giveaway. If you give us your street address to receive a giveaway win, we will keep your address on file for three months, or until you let us know the prize has arrived. If a prize is being sent by a publisher, we will put you directly in contact with the person at the publisher’s so that you only have to give your address to one party.

This site uses Reply Notification plugin. When you leave a comment on this site, your name, email, and IP address will be collected and stored on this site managed with WordPress (.org). Your name/username will be shown publicly, but the email and IP address are not. If at any point you wish to have a comment removed, you can contact us. It also allows me to reply to your comments. If you’d prefer I do not respond, please notify me.

(un)Conventional Bookviews also uses InLinkz for different challenges and features, like the New Release Challenge, The Thirsty Thursday & Hungry Hearts, and Safe & Sexy. The data you enter when you share your link will also be stored by InLinkz.

We don’t share any personally identifying information publicly or with third-parties, except when required to by law.

Our website may link to external sites that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and practices of these sites, and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy policies.

You are free to refuse our request for your personal information, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you with some of your desired services.

Please note that (un)Conventional Bookviews uses Jetpack for comments, Google Analytics and SumAll for statistics, and both Jetpack and FeedBurner for e-mail subscriptions. Also, our web host is Book Host, and some of your data may be stored at their server. All these are third-parties, but they have all sent out information about being GDPR compliant.

Your continued use of our website will be regarded as acceptance of our practices around privacy and personal information. If you have any questions about how we handle user data and personal information, feel free to contact us by e-mail : lexxie (at) unconventionalbookviews (dot) com
