Hosting a new TV show is a fantasy-turned-reality for diva decorator Sophia Holbrook. But concentrating on colour swatches is hard when all she can think of is her studly co-host, contractor Fynn Babineau. These two may clash over blueprints and budgets on-screen, but with the lust palpable between them, rumour has it they have been putting more than just their heads together behind the scenes....

What secrets will the cameras expose? Tune in tonight to find out.

Nailed is a quick and very hot read! Set in the universe of filming a reality TV show of home improvement, Fynn and Sophia meet on the first day of the show. The place they are improving is a housing center for women and children, and part of Sophia’s childhood was spent in the very building she wants to make all new again. Fynn has had some troubles recently, and the last thing he wants is to get to know the new decorator better, however, there is something about Sophia that makes it difficult for him to walk away. And she felt an instant lust the moment she laid eyes on him the first time.

Filled with some humor, some extremely hot scenes, the friendship between Sophia and her business partner Tamara, as well as the frantic speed everything has to happen with on set, Nailed is a great story if you have a free afternoon and want some sweet hotness to help you pass the time. Even in such a short story, I was satisfied with how well I got to know Sophia and Fynn, and their chemistry was so amazing I wouldn’t have minded reading more about them.

Of course, since Nailed is on the set of a reality show, there is a shark who will back down at nothing to get an audience, but Fynn and Sophia manage to get the better of the director, and they could become much more than partners for one show where they help people in need find a nice place to stay.

I jutted my hip out a bit when his gaze tracked down my legs. He looked away briefly, only for his gaze to flick up to my throat, which I immediately touched. I swore I heard his swallow from where I stood. “I’m sure I can find more if I need it.” The hand that held his tablet flexed, causing the muscles of his biceps to flex. “I have no doubt you’d find an endless supply.”

My mom told me that you learn a lot about yourself when you finally get your first serious job. I think she intended that to be a bit of a pep talk, reassuring me that I’d blossom as a woman as soon as I got doing what I was meant to in life. The older I got, the more ominous that sounded, until I was scared she was actually trying to warn me off becoming an adult.

I’d always been attracted to a handsome man in a nice suit. It had the same effect on me that I assumed lingerie had on most men.

  1. Sounds fun, Lexxie! And sometimes, after finishing a heartbreaker of a book, fun is welcome! 😉 I like the idea of it being set on a reality show ‘stage’ and the characters sound nice. Great review, my dear!

Hope your feet are up, and you’re enjoying a glass of wine. 😉 Enjoy the rest of your day!! **BIG HUGS**

  2. I love the title. I want to write an extra steamy book just so I can have a cool title like Nailed. Ha! This sounds fun, especially the part where they work together to get the director. Well, especially the heat factor, after that, the comeuppance. Great review, Lexxie!
