Review: Play Me Right – Tracy Wolff

Technically, Aria may still be in one piece, but she’s feeling pretty damn close to broken. While she knows Sebastian would die before hurting her, their intense, steamy encounters have opened up old wounds in them both. Now Aria is considering the unthinkable: walking away again—this time to save Sebastian from the pain she knows her past will cause him. But Sebastian’s the one who set her free in the first place—how can she not show him the same care and compassion? Because, in the end, being together forever is the only thing that feels right.

Everything comes together in Play Me Right, the secrets are out in the open, and Aria and Sebastian both feel like they can be completely themselves with each other.

My Play Me Right review:

Even if office romances aren’t usually my thing, this whole Play Me series totally got to me. The characters were believable, the sexual tension and their chemistry was amazing, and the overall story and plot was compelling, too, In Play Me Right, everything comes together, even if not everything is solved. Knowing about the things Sebastian and Aria have kept from each other, and to a certain extent from themselves brought a satisfied smile to my face. As a reader, I love it when I get a deeper understanding of characters with whom I have nothing at all in common.

Sebastian is doing some very deep soul-searching in Play Me Right, he looks at his actions and reactions and tries to figure out what he needs to do to keep Aria in his life after not being up front with her, and not letting her completely inside. Feeling vulnerable is not something he usually does, so sharing a part of himself that he doesn’t even want to acknowledge is not easy!

Aria has something from her past she had hoped never to think of again, too, and sharing this past with Sebastian just might make them see that they can have a common goal. I also really enjoyed Aria’s interactions with her little sister Lucy. Their bond is really strong, and seeing them together was really good. Play Me Right was definitely well played, and I enjoyed the way Aria and Sebastian’s story came to an end – even if there might be more about them in future books from what I understood.

Written in dual POV from both Aria and Sebastian’s perspective, Play Me Right gives the readers the ultimate insight to the main characters. The serial is complete, all the novellas are being released on December 2nd, so if you want to have some nice, hot, but short stories to keep you company before sleeping, Play Me should make its way to your kindle.

“What-” My voice breaks and I have to start again. “What’s the name of this song?” I ask.

She rolls her eyes. “I’m sixteen, not six, you know.” “God, I hope so. Because fuckbuddy is a term I don’t ever want to hear come out of a six-year-old’s mouth.” “Gross!” She throws a pillow at me, further messing up her nails.
