Radiant follows Clara and Angela during the summer after the end of Hallowed. Clara has a lot to deal with,View Spoiler » and so does Angela - communication is key here!
Radiant is a quick novella in the Unearthly series. Clara and Angela are in Rome for the summer, visiting with Angela’s family. And Phen – the mysterious guy who taught Angela all she knows about angels and nephilims – suddenly shows up in the metro and draws Angela to him once more.
Radiant is written in dual point of view; one chapter from Angela’s POV, the next from Clara’s. And it was really good to learn more about Angela by literally being inside of her head for a while. Angela seemed very mysterious to me in the prior books in the series, and to understand her better will be helpful for me personally. I believe that their purpose is dual, and that they really will need to start to trust each other more.
It was nice entering the world of Unearthly again, Radiant might even be important to what is going to happen in Boundless – which is currently next up on my TBR, and I can’t wait to read it. I want to follow Clara and Angela to Standford, and I also want to know what will happen with Christian and Tucker – and not in a romantic way either.
The ending was pretty ominous, I hope that things will turn out well both for Angela and Clara. Clara clearly needs to be able to share a little more of her serious thoughts with her best friend, even if they aren’t what Angela wants to hear, nor the most pleasant things to talk about.

It’s not fair, I think. Angela always pushes me to tell her everything that happens to me, and if I hold anything back and she finds out about it later, she gets all miffed and hurt and stuff.

Nooo, major spoiler for me there. [spoiler]I did not know that Clara’s mother dies.[/spoiler] Oh, well I guess I should hurry up and read on with this series. I really LOVED Unearthly(and Tucker, especially Tucker).

I haven’t read this one yet, I will have to add it to my tbr list to make it even more bigger !!
