Daire Dunne is more than ready to take a quick break from his duties as a Coven Nine Enforcer. When he spots a sexy blonde across a Titan’s of Fire party, it’s not long before she’s on the back of his Harley on the fast track to his apartment. Unfortunately, one overheated kiss in, the woman drugs Daire and steals valuable files that can’t fall into enemy hands. The second he comes to, the hunt is on...

Now that Cee Cee has the information to take down an enemy that destroyed her family, she can implement her perfect plan for revenge. Nothing will stop her, not even a shockingly sexy enforcer barging into her life. Not even the spectacular, fire-branding sex engulfing them. But if Daire ever figures out who her family really is, all bets are off...

Wicked Edge had one of the most kick-ass heroines I have ever had the pleasure of encountering! Felicity was made of steel, capable, intelligent and very strong in a fight! And of course, I enjoyed her verbal sparring with Daire as well.

My Wicked Edge review:

CeeCee seemed like an innocent, sweet young woman at the beginning of Wicked Edge, and Daire definitely agreed with me. Until he ended up flat on his back in his own apartment, drugged, and left behind. CeeCee also managed to keep everyone on their toes, because she was a very good planner, could hold her own in a fight, and had a grudge that wouldn’t disappear. Of course, Daire couldn’t let it stand that CeeCee had been able to get him that easily, so he made sure their second meeting was on his terms.

Filled with action, magic / spells, paranormal creatures and a lot of very good plotting, Wicked Edge was very well executed, and showed just enough of CeeCee to keep her interesting, and make sure Daire stayed on his toes never knowing what she’d be up to next. The main plot was carried over from Wicked Ride, and some of the characters from that story were a part of this one as well. Trying to get to the bottom of the new drug was still Daire’s main focus, but somehow, CeeCee’s revenge plot helped him get a little bit closer to finding out who was behind it, and who hated witches enough to want to get rid of them in a very ugly way.

There were some very funny twists and turns in Wicked Edge, and several that made me laugh out loud. Daire falling so completely for CeeCee but trying to stay distant and objective was fun, and as he learned more about her, there were more humorous scenes for me to enjoy. The overall plot had some darker twists, too, and I am very impatient to get my hands on Wicked Burn, to know what will happen next, and hope that my favorite enforcers will be able to stay safe when the proverbial shit hits the fan!

Written in third person point of view, past tense, the narration was outside of the story itself, which made it easy to have an overview of the characters and the action. There are also some very well done dialogues, as well as fights, action and some fast rides in store for you when you pick up Wicked Ride.

Some of my favorite Wicked Edge quotes:

Another bloody party at Titans of Fire Motorcycle Club. He’d spent most of the evening at the Grizzly MC headquarters, quietly drinking aged whiskey and playing poker with several friends, who were supposed to be his enemies.

“You sure you’re safe with me?” she asked, that throaty voice scratching under his skin.
He grinned. Not in flirtation, and not in reassurance, but in pure amusement. He was a three-centuries-old witch, an enforcer for his people, and one of the most dangerous beings on the planet. “I’ll take my chances.”

  1. Ah, another series I’m dying to try but will refrain from…at least for the moment. I have another of Zanetti’s I need to catch up in first. 😉 Wicked Edge sounds like the perfect blend of action, suspense, and romance, Lexxie. And CeeCee seems my kind of heroine. I can only imagine the hit to Daire’s ego enduring their first encounter. I bet it was fun watching them go from there. I’m adding it to my tbr, even if it is groaning under the weight. 😉
    Happy Monday! **BIG HUGS**

    • I know the feeling, Brandee! Zanetti is amazing, and I really love her writing. In this series, the characters are paranormals, and the way they work together is so well done 🙂 CeeCee definitely did make sure Daire’s ego took a good hit, and that was awesome!
I hope your TBR shelf will survive, my dear! Happy Monday back at you. *BIG HUGS*
