Review: Twice in a Blue Moon – Christina Lauren

Twice in a Blue Moon was fantastic – one of the best second chance romances I have read, and it was so filled with chemistry and tenderness I felt full while reading. What happens when you’re the hidden (not secret) child of Hollywood’s most coveted actor and you go on vacation to London and meet a cute boy? Well, lots of things happen, actually, and Tate broke the one rule her mom and grandma had instilled in her since they moved away from her father. And that had devastating consequences for all of them – but mostly for Tate. Twice in a Blue Moon is a beautifully written, character-driven story, and I enjoyed how Christina Lauren first let us got […]

Review: Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating – Christina Lauren

Review: Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating – Christina Lauren

Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating is my favorite friends to lovers story ever! They are both golden, and I adore them! Story: Josh and Hazel had nothing much in common at first glance, on second glance, however, they were perfect for each other. After they knew each other in college, they lost sight of each other for ten years. Until Hazel’s best friend had a welcome summer BBQ. And Josh was there – because he was Emily’s sister. Little by little, Josh and Hazel became friends, and their friendship was strong. They are both very loyal, and only wanted the best for the other. Because Josh left his girlfriend after they had known each other again only for […]

Review: Love and Other Words – Christina Lauren

Review: Love and Other Words – Christina Lauren

Love and Other Words is one of the most poignantly beautiful stories I have ever read! My heart is still reeling, and I want to both laugh and cry at the same time. Story: Love and Other Words switches between Macy’s childhood and the present, slowly unraveling all her secret thoughts, fears, loves, hopes, and heartaches. Christina Lauren’s stories just get better and stronger with each book, and I can hardly even write because my feelings are all over the place. The character development in Love and Other Words is nothing short of amazing. And the friendship between Elliot and Macy when they were children and teens is beautiful. There were just so many little details about them both that […]

Review: Roomies – Christina Lauren

Review: Roomies – Christina Lauren

Roomies was such a tender story, but it still packed a punch! My emotions were all over the place, all the while cheering for Holland! (un)Conventionally short: Unexpected romance, with possibly disastrous results sums up Roomies quite well in my opinion. Holland has gone to a specific subway station to listen to Calvin play. And when she’s attacked and he saves her, then disappears, she wants to help him get the recognition she thinks he deserves. What she didn’t count on was him being an illegal alien, but saving her uncle’s musical makes her choice an easy one. Needless to say, the fact that she’s in love with Calvin from afar makes her choice even easier. As Calvin and Holland […]

Beautiful Bastard (Beautiful Bastard #1) – Christina Lauren

Beautiful Bastard (Beautiful Bastard #1) – Christina Lauren

*I received a free ARC of Beautiful Bastard from Gallery Books via Edelweiss in exchange of an honest review* Beautiful Bastard starts out with angry sex in the very first chapter. Chloe is talking to herself quite a lot in her own head, which some might find endearing, but I found that pretty annoying. For the first two thirds of the story, I thought both Chloe and Bennett were pretty much one-dimensional. The only thing we get to know about them is that they love to tell each other off – just before having rough sex in inappropriate places.
