#OctobeRec Fest Review #4 ~ Lucifer’s Daughter ~ Eve Langlais

Welcome to OctobeRec Fest. I started this as a nod to Oktoberfest (books & beer…heaven, am I right?!?) so I’ll spending the month of October reading a few of the many, many books I’ve procured thanks to you, my blogging friends. Title: Lucifer’s Daughter Author: Eve Langlais Narrator: Rebecca Estrella Recommended by: Melanie @Hot Listens Lucifer’s Daughter wasn’t my first Eve Langlais read but I’d met Muriel in another book and really wanted her story. Melanie really liked ELanglais and recommended this series so I gave it a go in audio. I adored Muriel’s story and REstrella’s narration for the most part. Highlights: Characters Muriel is quite entertaining. She’s strong, independent, smart, honest, a virgin… hehe Yeah, her dad is not […]

Audioreview: Hell’s Revenge – Eve Langlais

Audioreview: Hell’s Revenge – Eve Langlais

Hell’s Revenge is filled with a solid plot, mystery, suspense, some extreme hotness and lots of humor. Story: Hell’s Revenge is a risqué story, in which Muriel lives with her two consorts, David and Auric. And because of her sex-based powers, she has to make sure she gets enough sex. Which definitely brought out both a lot of steam, and some much needed   to help with all the break-neck speed action. Muriel finds out that she’s pregnant. Her up-until-now unknown mother shows up unexpectedly to share the news with her, Lucifer, and the two dads. Not only does she inform them all about the pregnancy, she also explains to them that she needs the baby once it’s born. Hell’s Revenge […]

Audio Review: Becoming Dragon – Eve Langlais

Audio Review: Becoming Dragon – Eve Langlais

Becoming Dragon was a delightful tale, filled with humor, action, steam and more. The narration was well done, and I was so happy to have this to listen to on my commute to and from work. Story: Becoming Dragon is about… you guessed it – dragons! And it’s by Eve Langlais, so I knew I was in for some good laughs. Plus steamy romance, and I also got a rather down to earth and doubting hero. Brandon had been experimented on, and with his DNA sliced, he was in a weird hybrid form that made him think of himself as a monster. Aimi, however, did not find him to be monstrous at all. Quite the opposite, which made for some […]

Audio Review: Lucifer’s Daughter – Eve Langlais

Audio Review: Lucifer’s Daughter – Eve Langlais

Lucifer’s Daughter is Fun, feisty and with enough action to keep you compelled and immersed in the story from start to finish. Any time I pick up a Langlais book, I’m pretty sure I’ll get lots of humor, lots of sexy hotness, and a good story to entertain me. That’s also what I got with Lucifer’s Daughter, Muriel was a hoot, and her being a virgin made dear old daddy Satan mad! She really needed to sin more – if not, people might think he was failing at being bad. Muriel had decided to wait for love before sharing herself fully, though, both because a lot of guys would do anything to tap Lucifer’s Daughter… and others would do anything to […]

Audioreview: Panther’s Claim – Eve Langlais

Audioreview: Panther’s Claim – Eve Langlais

Panther’s Claim was a lot of fun, with a mystery, some hot moments and quite a bit of danger. Listening to Panther’s Claim was a treat! I loved the humor, and I also loved how out there Cynthia was in many ways. I mean, she kidnapped Daryl to figure out if he had kidnapped her friend… That is pretty out there, no? Their chemistry was off the charts, though, and I enjoyed how they both slowly came to realize they might be fated mates. The mystery that started in Croc’s Return continues here, and the disappearances of shifters seem very ominous and unnatural, as do the hybrid shifters who attack Cyn and Daryl. There were a lot of interactions between […]

Audioreview: Croc’s Return – Eve Langlais

Audioreview: Croc’s Return – Eve Langlais

Croc’s Return hit the right spot – hot, fast, mysterious and funny – all in one neat little package that was well narrated. If you enjoy shifters, you’ve got to love a croc, right? Croc’s Return is well done, especially because the croc himself isn’t all that sure about what went down before he left Bitten Point a few years ago. All Caleb knows is that he wants to come back home, and if he’ll see Renny, that might just make things better. That is until he learns that Renny has a child. And that she works in a strip-club to make ends meet because her son’s father didn’t step up. Caleb swears he’ll find that man and show him […]

Review: Kodiak’s Claim – Eve Langlais

Review: Kodiak’s Claim – Eve Langlais

As always, the love and chemistry as well as Langlais’ humor made Kodiak’s Claim a very quick and steamy read! Loved it! My Kodiak’s Claim review: With her signature humor, Langlais had me invested in the story and the characters of Kodiak’s Claim from the beginning! Tammy showed her strengths, and the fact that she was happier alone than being with an asshole really appealed to me! When she was sent to Alaska to investigate some insurance claims for three lost trucks full of shipments, she never thought it would completely change not only her life, but her view of the world as well. Reid had always taken his role as alpha of the clan seriously, and a tiny human […]

Review: Heroic Abduction – Eve Langlais

Review: Heroic Abduction – Eve Langlais

Purple, strong, hot alien meets headstrong human female who is always ready for a new adventure in Heroic Abduction. My Heroic Abduction review: Dyre is very different from the other purple aliens I’ve come to know through the Alien Abduction series! He’s a mercenary who wants to be a hero, and that brings about many humorous situations in Heroic Abduction. With his inner musings commenting everything from how Betty looks to what he’d rather have her eat instead of her pizza, I was howling with laughter more than once! Traveling through the galaxies searching for one of Betty’s human friends, Dyre, Betty and Zista come into lots of difficult situations where Dyre can prove just how heroic he is. Expect […]

Review: Croc and the Fox – Eve Langlais

Review: Croc and the Fox – Eve Langlais

Croc and the Fox is filled with humor, some shifter fights, the ongoing mystery of the Mastermind, and lots of hot chemistry! My Croc and the Fox review: As always when I read a Langlais erotica, Croc and the Fox filled me with delight, good laughs, many hot moments and funny characters to follow on their adventures. I had already enjoyed Viktor and his bachelor ways in prior FUC stories, and he didn’t disappoint here. However, he hadn’t counted on actually enjoying Renee and her clinging ways quite as much as he ended up doing. One of the things I enjoyed was that the mystery of the evil Mastermind – a shifter who kidnaps other shifters to experiment on them […]

Review: Doe and the Wolf (Furry United Coalition #5) – Eve Langlais

Review: Doe and the Wolf (Furry United Coalition #5) – Eve Langlais

Eve Langlais always manages to make me laugh with her awesome humor, quirky characters and crazy shifters, and Doe and the Wolf is no exception to that rule. Everett is such a goofy wolf it’s impossible not to love him, and Dawn is pretty tough and salacious under that shy demeanor she hides behind. After Everett was fired from FUC, he became a bounty hunter with his friend Tom, the sleuth. That right there shows some of the humor, right? A quick read, Doe and the Wolf manged to entertain me, and to keep my mind off my upcoming exams with ease. Between the improbable situations both Dawn and Everett found themselves in, the creepy monster-gecko and the fact that […]
