Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ The One Night Stand Before Christmas ~ Jana Aston

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ The One Night Stand Before Christmas ~ Jana Aston

In The One Night Stand Before Christmas, a case of mistaken identity leads to a night of possibility…and the need for a Christmas miracle. I adored the way JAston tied up this trilogy of novellas. They were all heartwarming stories with various amounts of humor which have me welcoming the holiday season. 🙂 It was so good! And I loved how Teddy didn’t really lie about anything. And the humor had me chuckling so many time – just what I needed, truly! The One Night Stand Before Christmas is Noel’s story and I’d been eager for it because, of the three Winter sisters, she seemed the most cynical. Which was ironic considering her love of Christmas. We didn’t really get […]

Blogger Wife Chat Review: Pucked Over – Helena Hunting

Blogger Wife Chat Review: Pucked Over – Helena Hunting

Pucked Over is such a good play on words, but can we just start with all the hockey players’ names? I mean, I’m always waiting to see what it is, because it makes me laugh so hard. Randy Ballistic? It’s awesome, don’t you think? Oh the titles, the names, the characters…this series has been so much fun all around! But yeah, Randy “Balls” Ballistic is the greatest name. And it fits him so well. 😉   Pucked Over was just as humorous and hot as the other Pucked books, and I really loved getting to know Lily better. What did you think of her? And the fact that she was also a sportswoman? I loved getting to know Lily. She […]

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ Rock F*ck Club #5 ~ Michelle Mankin

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ Rock F*ck Club #5 ~ Michelle Mankin

Holy WOW! I don’t even know where to start with Rock F*ck Club #5. I was so very eager for Gale’s story and I’m ecstatic I got it. Before this one, I would have said #3 was my fav. But now I’m all about Gale and Jo!! I agree – Gale and Jo were my favorites! And I just loved how dark Jo’s past was, but she still managed to move forward and try to find something she could be happy doing. While also honoring her past. Let’s start with Jo. MMankin kept her mysterious. We knew and/or learned enough about her to understand she was fiercely loyal to those she loves. We also knew she was a fighter, a […]

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ If You Give a Jerk a Gingerbread ~ Jana Aston

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ If You Give a Jerk a Gingerbread ~ Jana Aston

If You Give a Jerk a Gingerbread was even more satisfying than its predecessor. Of course, it could have been the British accent. Or the sexy banter. Or all the baking! Yeah, it was definitely the British accent. 😉 All of the above 🙂 I loved the British accent. And I also adored the sexy banter. Plus, the baking was just as hot as the steamy scenes. I don’t know what it was but I found Ginger’s story even more entertaining. Maybe because we’d met her before? Or maybe it’s because she’s adorable…like a kitten. I was thoroughly entranced her her and her inner monologue, her daydreams where she’d get lost in the haze, her real dreams of owning her […]

New Release Review & #Giveaway ~ Disarm ~ Karina Halle

New Release Review & #Giveaway ~ Disarm ~ Karina Halle

Disarm is the second in KHalle’s Dumont series revolving around a famous French family. With family disloyalty and dysfunction, greed, money, power, and a forbidden romance, Disarm was a guilty pleasure of a read. 😉 Highlights: Characters Seraphine and Blaise were the black sheep of their families. They’re also cousins who saw something in each other early on that drew them to one another. Dealing with jealousy and treachery within in the family has taken its toll. KHalle crafted characters I invested in and connected with in Seraphine and Blaise. Her villains were delightfully evil in their desire for money and power and in their villainous actions. Romance Although Seraphine and Blaise’s romance could be considered taboo, they weren’t actually […]

Review: All Fired Up – Lori Foster

Review: All Fired Up – Lori Foster

All Fired Up just might be my favorite of the Road to Love series! I loved Mitch so much. And Charlotte finally got to show everyone how amazing she was. All Fired Up is a bit different from the two prior books in the series, because we’re introduced to an unknown brother – Mitch. Brodie and Jack had no idea they had a half brother, and neither did their mother. Charlotte, however, has been treated like their little sister ever since her own parents passed away, and they are fiercely protective of her. Charlotte and Mitch were such a match. All Fired Up showed me that sometimes, life throws impossible curveballs at us, but it’s still possible to come out […]

Review: Rebel King – Kennedy Ryan

Review: Rebel King – Kennedy Ryan

Rebel King is filled with anguish, angst, high-stakes politics, love, friendship and betrayal. It’s a novel that will take your breath away! If you read my review for The Kingmaker, you know that story ended with a cliffhanger. And my goodness, what a cliffhanger it was. Now, in order to not spoil anything for you, I’m going to have to be extremely cryptic. Because I want you to have the same amazing experience of Rebel King as I had. So I can tell you that I cried reading Rebel King. And I can tell you those tears fell for a while. But I also smiled and laughed, thank goodness. There was a lot going on with this story, and you […]

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ The Boss Who Stole Christmas ~ Jana Aston

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ The Boss Who Stole Christmas ~ Jana Aston

The Boss Who Stole Christmas was a sweet read despite it having an enemies-to-lovers trope. I liked how Holly discovered her true feelings for Nick and I’m excited for her sisters’ stories. I was so happy with this story, wifey! I expected a sweet, hot, funny, feel-good romance, and that’s exactly what I got. And it’s also exactly what I needed! Being inside Holly’s head at that first meeting was fun! It was kinda obvious more was going on than she was admitting to herself but her nicknames for Nick and her descriptions of him had me giggling. And I could see where Holly might think Nick was being hard on her but I also thought she’d misconstrued his intention. […]

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ Rock F*ck Club #4 ~ Michelle Mankin

Blogger Wife Chat Review ~ Rock F*ck Club #4 ~ Michelle Mankin

Rock F*ck Club reads like a reality TV show and therefore picks back up right where we left off. I admire how MMankin uses this format to convey the reality of the journey these women are on. I’m certain she never considered this series would become so relevant. You’re very right! It does read like reality TV show, and also the back-stage of said show. I love how these women just want to take charge of their own lives, and how the money they get from the show is part of the way they get that. I knew with Marsha’s past, her road to happiness with Ivan wasn’t going to be smooth. I appreciated how MMankin kept it real – […]

Can You Read a Series in a Month Review #1 ~ Pucked ~ Helena Hunting

Can You Read a Series in a Month Review #1 ~ Pucked ~ Helena Hunting

Oh golly was Pucked a lot of fun! I loved Violet! Her klutziness, her lack of filter…the things that came out of her mouth! LOL I adored Alex, too. His loyalty, his tenacity, his loving Violet for exactly who she is. I have a feeling I might fly through this series! Highlights: Characters Not only was I delighted with Violet and Alex but HHunting populated their story with an outstanding secondary cast. From Alex’s teammates to his parents and Vi’s step-brother, parents, and best friend – they all combined to better convey the character of Violet and Alex. The secondary characters also gave depth to the story. Plus, I’m eager to learn more about quite a few hockey players. 😉 […]
